The book arrived on time and in excellent condition. It's a specialist text and not for anyone who finds algebra hard! Other books are better if you just want to learn about elasticity, and/or you need to know the up-to-date status and applications of the subject, but this one is essential if you want to know the history or if, like me, you want to check that a respected reference work does actually say what recent researchers say it says.
