I’ve tried many cans of black beans over the years and finally bought a can of the slightly higher priced Goya black beans to compare. Hands down these beans were SO much better. They are somewhat larger, plumper, not at all mushy and the liquid they are canned with was quite clear & easily rinsed away compared with five or six other brands I had used in the past. The appearance of the beans is important as I use them to make a warm weather black bean-corn condiment/salad with green onions, chopped red & yellow peppers, mild salsa and a generous splash of oil & vinegar Italian salad dressing. Especially good to accompany a cold supper on a warm summer evening on the deck or patio.

These are tasty...They are firm and not mushy in the can. They hold their shape and work well in recipes.

This is our favorite brand, the sauce and the beans together are an excellent flavor combination. Goya black beans are the go to in our pantry, we buy it by the eight pack. Amazon always has it in stock, when the other stores are out. Black beans and brown rice are excellent, but sometimes we add zucchini or other vegetables.
