Finally the perfect solution for our Samsung TV. Been through numerous ‘replacements’ that performed nothing like the original remote. This arrived, put batteries in, and setup was instant. Connected right away, and stays connected. Can control the remote from anywhere, no need to point at the TV. Quality is as good or better than others. This is the one!

I should have paid attention to those that said the battery cover -- or should I say, the ENTIRE BACK of this curved remote -- will not come off. It won't budge and I've been trying for 10 minutes! I'll give it another try, but then I'm sending it back. (For real this time. I usually say that and get lazy, but I'm sick of this stuff)Update: After almost 30 minutes, I managed to get the cover off. I put one silicone jar opener on the counter, placed the remote front face down, took another silicone jar opener and put that on that back applied a little pressure and slid, and the back slid off, a little. I had to use a butter knife to open it the rest of the way.You have to have the tv on to pair it, and stand right in front of the tv, but it worked right away. The voice assistant, Bixby, was a little more fiddly. You have to acknowledge that your tv is listening to you. You don't "accept", you just acknowledge. You also have to say, "Hi Bixby, launch Netflix", rather than just "Launch Netflix." I also had to choose Bixby's voice, but it never talks back. At first, there was a big lag after every command, but now that I've got it set up, it runs better than the one WITHOUT the voice that came with my Samsung tv, which, by the way, I do not like at all.As far as I'm concerned, the design its not ergonomic at all, and though I have small hands, has me contorting my wrist to wrap around the all too slim, curved design.All in all, it's a step up from the one that came with the set, but it sure could be improved upon. BTW, it doesn't feel any more or less durable than any other remote I've used in the past ten years.

It immediately hooked up to my Roku TV which could not be communicated with by phone app due to switching Wi-Fi providers. So I was able to interact with television without my TV being connected to wi-fi.

I bought this for my Roku TV, it said it was for a Roku TV. There is no volume button. I haven't tried the remote yet since there is no volume button on the side. I can't use the tv remote for the volume because it doesn't work well, which is why I am getting another one. If someone can tell me how to turn the volume up/down, please let me know.
