Diesel-Engine Management

Nice piece of a book but I wish the author could have added in a few examples of pump laboratories with calibration and testing on the test bench at the back of the book with clear pump expamples, settings and runs. Hands on lab examples besically. Otherwise, it's a great book.

I hoped this book would contain technical details of bosch ecu programming, functions etc. To be honest it reminds me of a "brain surgery for beginers" type book. It has enough depth for a student or keen DIYer but is not technical enough if you are looking for in depth knowlede of ecu mapping, functions etc.

A very comprehensive and detailed reference book for modern diesel engine technology (this revision October 2005) Contains very detailed illustrations, but as the pages are quite small i.e. 23 x 16 cms, and the illustrations and diagrams are in shades of grey, if your eyesight is not 100% (as mine isn't) you may struggle to see the detail.I would say that this would be an excellent reference book for students in this field, in my case I just wanted to learn more about the contemporary diesel engine, especially regarding emission controls and related diagnostics, which it covers in depth.In summary, definitely a book worth having on your bookshelf.

Very good book for beginners and advance users. Deep technical informations available. I use this book as a reference for my diesel emission control project writing, that Will help me alot to get a grade 12 out of 12 on my exam.

Good book for general references. Nice diagrams and pictures. I think they have stopped printing it now though?

i like it provides to me a comprehensive insight into the extended diesel fuel injection systems and electronic diesel control.

Sent back as there were chapters missing and bad printing alignment. The print quality was not as good as my other Bosch books of similar genre.
