Thin lizzy doesn't work instantly, took about 15 days but now I keep finding dead flies. It is actually very effective once it gets going.

Absolutely useless, followed instructions as per packet placed in appropriate areas, I bought 2 one for the lounge and one for the kitchen has made no difference at all in either room. Complete waste of money which in the cost of living crisis is not money I could afford to loose, it states it starts working straight away upon placing in a room but after a good couple of weeks I have given up any hope of either of them working.Don't waste your money get a rolled up magazine and practice your aim as it will be more effective if you only seat 1fly!

I had to buy this as there was nothing in the shop. Waste of money as doesn't seem to do anything at all - flies are buzzing around quite happily.

It's actually quite difficult to assess how effective these units are in a domestic setting.In a room in our house a fly landed on one of these units. When I returned a few hours later having shut thedoor to keep him in, he was still there apparently unfazed by a unit that was supposed to deprive him of his existence.A resistant species of fly perhaps, or an ineffective product ? who knows.Overall we feel that the fly population is lower, but that could be because of other factors, such as not leaving outdoor doors and windows open and the weather, so can't really prove their effectiveness.Overall, we like the idea of something in the background keeping the flies away, without having to chase them down with fly spray in a dog fight. But can't swear that these units are as effective as they claim to be.

We had a little fly flying around our flat for weeks. I assumed it was one fly but my husband thought there could be more. It or they had become very comfortable here and would fly past our faces, land on us and when I was reading the newspaper one actually landed on it and trotted across the paper.The last straw was when I went to wash up a fly was helping itself to the leftovers.They had to go! I bought this little cassette, moved the lever 3 months and placed it in the front room.NO MORE FLIES!!! So far so good and we've not seen then in the rest of the flat.

We have had this up for a while and have noticed a reduction in the number of flies. But I’m not sure if that’s because it’s end of season or because of this thing. I have noticed a definite reduction though. We got this because we went on holiday and kept our outdoor cats in. We set up 6/7 litter trays for them to use with a cat sitter coming daily. Despite this, we developed a massive fly problem! Never experienced anything like it. So we looked for solutions and came across this. Since installing we don’t have cat litter trays out any more. But even when we did, they didn’t seem to attract flies. So it’s quite possible that it is working but without taking it down and seeing if there is a difference, it’s impossible to say. That’s not to say we haven’t had ANY flies. We have had the odd one or two but not as many as usual.It is basically plastic and not much more advanced than that. We have it on top of a bookshelf where pets cannot reach.It was very easy to set up and I have not noticed any particular side effects. Maybe a headache more than usual but otherwise all fine.

I noticed more fruit flies than usual so I bought this and put on windowsill. Next morning and for days after I found over a hundred dead fruit (and bigger) flies on the windowsill. I found they were coming out of the soil from a plant I had recently bought. It works with no spray in the air. Excellent product will keep a few ready to use after 90 days.
