Mini rant about the Amazon app. Sorry. Had my review all written out, and Amazon app glitched and lost it. So mad! Lol. Packaging: The packaging was fairly put together, except for that the brackets were not taped to the package because part of the seal had come on done, but it didn’t look tampered with. The reviews said that this product came two years past the expiration date so I checked mine but mine expires in 2024. Package looked otherwise as advertised. Texture & Appearance: Coffee did look coarse ground, which is good for a cold brew. The coffee also smelled nice as well.: Texture of the coffee is as the namesake, smooth and sweet. Cold brew taste: The cold brew has a very non-acidic taste, which made it really good for a sensitive stomach like mine. Recommend: yes.

Bizzy really makes the best cold brew coffee and it truly is sweet and smooth. The coffee grounds are perfect in size and the aroma is heavenly to say the least. When you cold brew, you really have to make sure the grounds are thoroughly and well exposed and saturated to and with water. I strongly recommend brewing up to at the bare minimum 24 hours if not more. I have tried cold brewing using Bizzy sweet and smooth at 15 hours, 18 hours, 20 hours, 24 hours and 30 hours to experiment which brewing time inside the fridge gave me the best results. Of course this is entirely based upon my personal preference, but the way I like my cold brew is naturally very sweet, least bitterness as possible and without adding anything - just drink it black. I want a strong coffee taste and no watered-down color or taste. Personally, 24-28 hours was the sweet spot. Especially at 15-20 hours, the bitterness still came through and it wasn’t strong and even the color wasn’t that dark or impressive. I learned that with Bizzy medium roast, you really have to take your time in order to get that smooth and sweet flavor that it is intended to give you. I used 10-12 tablespoons of coffee grounds to 3 bottles of spring water. It came out to be super sweet, indeed smooth to the palate, and went down my throat silky and velvety. I bought Starbucks cold brew nitro and drank some of it then my Bizzy brew to compare. I was surprised to find out that I personally liked Bizzy more. It was sweeter and smoother. I plan on trying that experiment after I buy Bizzy dark roast and see how that goes. Anyway, of course it’s all personal preference, but I know for a fact if I ever want cold brew, I will never find the need to buy some from Starbucks moving forward.

Okay.. so this may be long but worth the read because I am a cold brew & coffee lover! I have made cold brew several times and have tried all kinds of different types of cold brew and I have to say that this cold brew is so delicious! However, I had to read other reviews to try and figure out how exactly to drink this as I have all the steps down. On the bag it says to serve with ice and 2 parts water.. this part had me a little confused because I didn’t know if that meant 1 cup of cold brew and 2 cups water or what. There needs to be some clarification on that as the cold brew only makes 16 ounces which is two cups of cold brew and there’s multiple reviews of people saying this cold brew lasts them 2-3 weeks. I don’t see how that’s possible unless you don’t drink cold brew every day or every other day. So because everyone is different and I don’t want to drink a pure concentration, I am just going to play with the proportions and I’ll update this review. In the picture above I poured 6 ounces of cold brew into a jar, and I added ice and water. I put about 12 ounces of water and added heavy cream & skinny syrup. My coffee looks like tea with cream and probably not rich enough but let me tell you, it’s perfect and a great mix. I’ll try a different ratio tomorrow and update. I was a little hesitant to add so much water but the coffee is pure black and the water doesn’t make it taste like watered down coffee at all. Remember, this is a concentrate and you have to add water!

Long story short: Great flavor for even those who don't like coffee or can't handle the roast. I was one of them and this taste great with a splash of coconut creamer and a packet or two of stevia in the raw. Picked this up along with a different brand when I was first venturing out to see what is the best coffee for cold brewing. At the time, I was fairly new to the coffee world, never cared for it because the roast flavor kept me away from it. On top of not liking the roast, I hear hot coffee has high acidity so for those who need to be mindful of acid reflux, cold brew is the way to go. This brand in particular isn't too sweet and the roast is just right. I highly recommend this for first time drinkers to long time drinkers. It's a steady flavor with nothing crazy like hazelnut or whatever else which I don't care for. With a tiny bit of creamer and some sugar, you'll be able to taste a nice roast flavor without being punched in the mouth from a overbearing taste. Give a try, you won't regret it! Some tips for people new to cold brewing: First off, get this coffee brand! a coffee canister with a Co2 valve to keep it fresh (I have the coffee gator. They have a 25% off deal going on so check it out and it also comes with a 1/8th cup scoop) order two of the amazon choice "Takeya Patented Deluxe Cold Brew Iced Coffee Maker with Airtight Seal & Silicone Handle" the 2 quart size ones, they also have a 2 dollar off coupon on it as well right now. It might be expensive to order two but trust me, two is the way to go since you can have one brewing which takes up to 24hrs (I actually let the coffee steep until I finish off the other one) so having one ready and having one brewing would insure you won't be out. As for how much coffee ground to put in, the coffee canister I suggested (coffee gator) comes with a 1/8 cup scoop, I would would put 5/8th cup into the mesh strainer or 5 scoops for those who don't care for fractions and let it steep until I run out of coffee from the other container. If you drink about 12-14oz a day, this should last you about 3ish weeks until you have to order more Bizzy cold brew coffee. Oh and I haven't actually tried to continue to use the same ground from a previous batch so I have no idea if it would taste like diluted coffee water or the same as a fresh made one. I hope this helps! Have a great day!
