MY HERO One’s Justice - PlayStation 4

My husband and I got this for Christmas and we’ve played it all through his Christmas leave, super addicting and fun game. The controls take a minute getting used to since the arena isn’t a typical side scroller and is more 3D but that honestly makes it so much more fun getting to run around the arena and plan for your next attack. The characters are great, I wish there were more choices and better customization options, or at least that you didn’t have the exact same ‘ customizable’ outfits for every character, it’s less custom and more like you can buy preset outfits for every character. But it’s the same outfits/color schemes for every preset options But we don’t typically use that anyway, so it wasn’t a big thing for us. It’s so extremely fun, I love that their specials are unique to each characters quirk. Their voices are in jale sea so it would be nice for an English voice option.

A fun play for those that like fighting games. It has a good handful of the BNHA characters, and each one has their own unique abilities that make for different combos (even though the control input is the same). Perfect for someone that wants to learn the basics of BNHA while being more interactive in the story as the characters. Potential downside is the voices are in Japanese. The game does have subtitles in English unless you're in local battle.

I would say this isn't a game you can really enjoy if you don't watch BNHA. The majority of the fun comes from playing as your favorite characters and getting to use some of their quirks for yourself. The fighting is pretty basic, once you learn the controls you can use just about any character and even in manual mode, I felt like the fighting wasn't as complex as it could be. The same button combos do pretty much the same things for each character. There are some differences but all it takes is a peek at the move list to learn. The movements are smooth, the graphics are pretty decent, the fighting arenas are 3D and some are destructible which adds a lot to the game. Throwing your opponent through the wall is always fun. I had a lot of fun playing as Iida with his speed and recipro kicks, and of course Todoroki and All Might. I've tried out Tsu and Yaoyorozu as well and did better than expected with them. There is a story mode, but it just repeats the events of the show starting when Deku first meets Gran Torino. I guess it's a fun way to recap the series. I wish it had some sort of unique story mode, I get bored with it quickly because I know what happens. There is no dub, but there are usually English subtitles and they often say words like "Awesome!" "Great!" in English. There are subs in story mode, but not in free play so I don't know what the characters are saying during battles. The game has novelty value for fans of the series, it's definitely fun to play as your favorite characters, and the arenas aren't terrible. Nothing in the game is really "bad," there's just not much that's incredibly good either. If you're a fan of the series, you'll get at least an hour or so of fun out of the game.

I love the game play

People are complaining about not getting preorder bonus of Endeavor, but if you check the email of your amazon account, you should find an email labeled ‘Promotional Credit from your Recent Amazon Purchase.’ Inside is a code to use in the eShop of whatever platform you bought the game for to redeem Endeavor. Other than that this game is addicting to play from how flashy it can be, and I look forward to seeing the roster grow in the future!

The game is overall fun and I've been waiting for it for such a long time however, the biggest disappointment is that I pre-ordered the game which stated that you'll get endeavor for free, only not to have him. It says I have to pay 2.99$ to unlock him. Unless you get him after beating the story mode I feel like it should be mentioned if you'll get the bonus or not when you order it.

I love my hero. I read the manga and watch the show. The game was awesome! I loved that you could play as the hero’s and villains. Great graphics. I’m going to buy the second one soon

My son has recently become a My Hero Academia fanatic and He Loves this game. I ordered it for his birthday and was a little concerned that it was not in English but the story line is and has English subtitles in some parts. For the price, this is an excellent game, is so much fun to play and my 11 year old says its his new favorite, even over Fortnite ;)

While it was a fun enough game, and neat to see some of the quirks animated in battle, the story mode was horrifically bad. Online in fighting games is something that I don't usually enjoy, but it was actually done really well here! The combat is very solid, and the more you play it, the deeper the gameplay gets. If you want a decent fighting game to play online or locally (and like My Hero Academia), then I can recommend this game. If you want to play through a good single player experience (like I thought it would be like the Ultimate Ninja Storm series), you will not find it here.
