HP2024 New 17 inch Laptop, AMD Ryzen 5 5500U 6-Cores Processor(Beat i7-1250U), 17" FHD (1080p) IPS Display, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, Fingerprint Reader, Windows 11 Pro, w/WOWPC Recovery USB

I was fortunate that my adult son was willing to set up my new laptop for me. He transferred files, passwords bookmarks, etc. from my previous HP to this new one. That being said, I was immediately able to begin using the new HP. I don't use this for gaming, or streaming video. I primarily read email, conduct research and occasionally create documents. This laptop is more than capable of fulfilling the tasks that I need.The weight is less than my previous HP and the screen is larger.

I bought this after my son-in-law told me he had purchased 3 similar laptops for himself and 2 of my grandchildren. So far (a couple of months) I am very pleased. I focused on RAM and SSD space, and they both seem to be working very nicely. Battery life is better than I expected and lasts for hours. I would certainly recommend.

I HAVEN;T USED THE WOW, BUT IT'S SAFE AND IF AND WHEN i NEED IT, i'LL PUT IT TO WORK, BUT IT'S GOOD TO KNOW i'M COVERED

All I'm trying to do is edit simple videos, but it lags and lags and lags and takes me forever. Even with playback at lowest quality.I can only have one program open at a time. CPU is constantly jumping to 100.It's also nearly impossible to play The Sims 4. I would get something different if I had to do it over again.

I received this from my wife as a Christmas present and Birthday present since I was born the day after Christmas. I have used this everyday since. All day almost every day while researching for and writing my thesis. It has worked flawlessly. I LOVE THE KEYBOARD! But use a wireless mouse, my right thumb was damage in an accident and I cannot keep it away from the onboard mouse pad so I disable it with a cover. Other then that I have put it through a fairly rigorous test since the holidays and believe it to be a sound machine. I love the performance, speed and the clarity of the 17" monitor. Yet, thin and light enough to carry it around like tablet.

Regarding the fingerprint scanner: the customer service agent said the “Amazon AI accidentally added that”. I’m not entirely sure what to do with that info besides shame them for relying on AI to write up products which can cause them to be sued for false advertisement.Besides that, THE LAPTOP IS GREAT!!!The product hardware is EXACTLY AS DISPLAYED, Besides the fingerprint of course, THE CPU AND STORAGE is true.I haven’t had a single problem so far and it’s been great, and price is amazing imo.

I wished there had been more information on the programs. Like Microsoft Word and Adobe reader and such. You compared this model with a touch screen, SD card slots and this one doesn't have any of that. I'm very disappointed in this laptop. And make sure you compare with the same not something with added features.
