Work great!
These made-in-China Presto nonstick mesh screens work perfectly for drying small items in my Presto dehydrator. I specifically ordered them for drying pumpkin seeds because the seeds kept falling through the slots in the usual trays. I do think they're a bit pricey ($10 for 2 pieces of plastic), but that's usually the case with accessory items.

So Far So Good!
After spending forever reading Amazon reviews and knowing I probably wouldn't use this on a daily basis, I went with the Presto 06307 Dehydrator. It is a good size, comes with stackable racks that when flipped over make for convenient storage. Not one to start out easy I immediately tried out a beef jerky recipe (with the ultimate goal being venison jerky)Pros- easy to use, easy to clean, convenient storage, nice add onsCons- I definitely had to switch trays around to make sure the top trays got dehydrated, took longer than I anticipated (could be user error with too thick cuts), I can see where it might be considered loud to some, but the noise didn't bother me while it was on in the kitchen.Overall I really like this product and can't wait to try some fruit with the kids!

WONDERFUL appliance, You will LOVE IT!
I cannot say enough good things about this WONDERFUL appliance. I originally bought this when I couldn't find the flavor of pepper powder I wanted here on AMZ or anyplace on the web, so now I make my own and it is FANTASTIC! I also spent 9 weeks before Christmas making dried apple slices - - SO addictive. Now I am back to my mixed pepper powder and just smelling it is "kitchen aroma-therapy" for me. At one point I thought I was having a problem, so I called the company and the sent me a return label, took it back and examined it. They could not find any issue so they returned it to me. I finally figured it out. It was something I missed, not them. So now I am back to making my dried items. Next up. Dried onion slices and rings. This is THE BEST machine for THE BEST price I have found, despite all the 'rah-rah" about the more well-known others. Treat yourself to this simple, but easy to use, basic machine. You will LOVE IT!

Love this little dryer!
I purchased this specifically to make Chicken Jerky for my furry poodle kids.Recipe makes jerky for humans and pets.We are not jerky fans, but they get all excited when I eat one with them.I buy frozen bags of chicken tenders from Trader Joes.Thaw one and marinate in1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce1 teaspoon lemon juice1/4 teaspoon black pepper1/4 teaspoon ground gingerMix all the ingredients except the chicken in a gallon-sized ziplock bag.Add the chicken strips, seal the bag and ensure that all the meat gets coated with marinade.Place bag in the refrigerator for about at least 20 minutes to overnight.Rinse and pat dryPlace the meat strips on dehydrator trays.Plug in the dryer for 5-7 hours or until completely dry (length of drying time depends on thickness of strips).I keep mine in 1 1/2 pint canning jars... in the fridge. This amount of chicken makes 2 jars.I usually leave it on overnight out on the porch. About 6 hours, but machine is very forgiving. Now I am drying my herbs for winter... just takes 2-3 hours ... sweet and into pint canning jars
