Huge improvement
I had the apex 46mm. I was between the apex 2 (or 3 if it came out) but then they released the pace pro. I compared it to the forerunner 265 and since I only golf 3 times a year I prefer the set up, app, and battery life of Coros.Pros: beautiful screen, noticeably faster, lightweight, and the updates keep it up to speed with competitorsCons: my only two cons are 1: I prefer the old strap and 2: on my old watch you had to spin the dial some during a workout before pushing the side button would let you pause or end it. This prevented accidental button pushes. The pace pro doesn’t require that. I haven’t had any accidental button pushes yet but I did when I used to wear garmin watches and it was irritating when you finish a run only to realize it didn’t record half of it. Hopefully it’s not a big dealConclusion: worth the update for the screen alone in my opinion.

Great training partner
Price, features, app... all good. It's not perfect and seems more releases needed to address things that should already be there. But overall this has been a great upgrade. The screen is fantastic

Amazing!

Love this thing
Such a good watch. I use it mostly for running as I’m training for a marathon and there’s so much useful data you get in the app. I’ve paired it with the Coros HR arm band and feel it is incredibly accurate. No complaints here

Charge on the Cheap
I own a Coros Pace 3 and love it. I'm sure I will be happy with the Pace Pro, eventually. But it never occurred to me that a manufacturer would sell a watch with NO CHARGING CABLE, especially when the Pace Pro (like the Pace 3) has a proprietary charge port. What Coros does provide is a small, cheap "adapter" with which you can attach the watch to a USB-C cable (which you presumably have). For many owners (like me) the adapter will no doubt be lost within the first six months of ownership. (Coros' "solution" to the lost adapter issue is to mount the adapter on a key ring, presumably so you can keep it with the rest of your keys. Why you would want to carry around the adapter all of the time when one of the best Coros features is battery life, I don't know.)While irritating, I initially thought this would not be a huge deal (for me at least), as I could use the cable from my Pace 3 and store the Pace Pro adapter somewhere, to be found 20 years from now when I am dead. BUT NO. While the charge port on the Pace Pro is configured like the port on the Pace 3, the CHARGING PORTS ON THE WATCHES ARE NOT THE SAME SIZE--my Pace 3 cable could not fit into the Pace Pro charging port. The only possible explanation for swapping the adapter for the charging cable has to be cost savings (and, perhaps, the prospect of selling replacement adapters--$20 on the Coros website). And as hard as I try, I can't fathom an explanation for the size mismatch on the Pace 3 and Pace Pro adapter ports. For a company that makes a really great fitness watch (based on my Pace 3 experience), the charging decisions on the Pace Pro are truly boneheaded.
