Extended Runtimes
I have a fairly nice set of lights around my yard & garden, they’re attractive well made & can be disassembled for servicing BUT the batteries died only a few hours after sunset. The lights originally came with 1000mah capacity aa nimh cells. In a side by side timed comparison using fully charged batteries the 1500 mah cell ran the light on average an extra 2 hours. Now my lights are still on bright at midnight when I take the dogs out for their last duty. I might add that depending on the size of the solar panel & the charging capacity of your lights there is a limit where you benefit from and increase capacity battery. For example You can install a 2500 mah battery but if your system can’t produce that amount in a given day it does no good, in fact too high capacity cell will result in poor performance because the voltage never reaches it’s full potential. These batteries increased my runtimes considerably and I recommend them.

An Upgrade
These are higher capacity batteries then the ones they replaced in a couple of solar lights I have marking the entrance to my drive way. They are great except they take longer to charge. Right, more capacity means it takes longer to charge them. The isue is that the charger in the light fixtures were designed for the smaller batteries. So on bright sunny days for the entire day - no problem. If the day is cloudy part of the day, the batteries do not get charged enough to power the lights. So I will be replacing these with the original size batteries. When these batteries get fully charged, the lights are on most of the night rather than about five hours with the original batteries.

My fountain is burbling again!
I have a solar fountain in my garden that the birds love to visit. I noticed that the fountain wasn't as powerful as it had been, even after cleaning the pump. It turned out that the rechargeable batteries that came with the solar panel were no longer charging. I selected these batteries based on reviews that stated they were long-lasting; if they last longer than 1 year, they will already be better than the previous ones. But the fountain is now burbling at full power, the birds are happy and so am I.

I’ve purchased 3 packs of these in the past couple ...
I’ve purchased 3 packs of these in the past couple weeks. They are the size of a standard AA battery and so far are powering my solar lights through the night.I’m only giving 3 stars because one of the batteries I received is dead and will not charge.

Like they slip or something
These batteries do not work for me. Placed them in my solar path lights and none work. They just can't seem to make the connection once I attached the solar part of the light to the light. Like they slip or something. My solar lights say they will take either NiCd or NiMh. I wanted these so the lights would stay lit longer. Unfortunatly, they don't. Either they don't come on at all, or only stay lit for a couple of minutes. They are charged and when I try to move them a little, the light comes on. But once attached back to the holder, they don't stay on. It's like they are ever so slightly smaller than AA. Had to replace all with NiCd and have had no problems. I wish these had worked.

Don't Throw Out Your Solar Lights - Change the Batteries
Don't throw out your solar walkway lights - change the battery. I had a series of lights that seemed to not survive the winter we had. I decided to try these as battery replacements. The worked very well, and of the 4 lights that were not working, 3 just needed new batteries. These batteries are larger capacity, and so, they tend to last longer on a full charge - through much of the night. I have them as driveway lights, in a shaded area, and they still are able to be charged and to hold a charge for up to 6 hours (and then I go to sleep).

My wife does photography and goes through AA batteries on her flash like candy. We tried regular rechargeable batteries, the kind you buy at home depot, but they put out too much current and would cause her Nikon flash to overheat in no time. These batteries only put out 1500mA as compared to most rechargeable's that put out around 2300mA. The limited current output keeps the flash from overheating. We have had a couple of these batteries prematurely fail, but they still lasted long enough to more then pay for them selves as compared to buying non-rechargeable batteries.

Don't waste your money
These batteries arrived having been opened and the package taped back together. I decided to give them a try anyway. They were not pre-charged. I left them in the solar light today on this very sunny day to see if would charge but I am not hopeful that they will ever be worth the money spent especially including shipping. If it does not cost me a bundle I will likely return and hope they aren't sent to some other trusting person. Amazon, you can do better than to offer pre-opened, undependable products.
