Im not quite sure of what people are talking about when it comes to assembly,and difficulty. It came with no instructions but putting it together was pretty self explanatory, it took me ten minutes 2 of the course bolts hold the headlight lenses, the other six secure the hinges to the grill with the hood itself sandwiched between the two. The inner cowling locks into place via the snap clips. The center panel locks into place with the hooks on the side panels. Another note is that this will fit any x series lawn tractor, even if it is air cooled! I give 5 stars because of the simplicity of assembly, fit,and fuction. It's half the price of the oem John Deere original and better material! Buy this! You won't be disappointed!

Installation was a bit of a pain - no instructions but not too difficult to figure out. Looks great installed. My only complaint is the hood is assembled using plastic tabs. I broke one off during assembly. Saved $200 compared to the OEM hood so I’m happy.

Super ultra mega massively fast shipping, Well packaged, This is an excellent product at a great price. I read some feedbacks on it before buying it. Yes it’s hard for a single person to assemble, but if you have two people, it’s a breeze the same as the OEM parts. Instructions would be great to help the inexperienced person. I assembled mine in about an hour and a half by myself, but I had prior experience with repairing an OEM hood. It fits old and new X series mowers. Well, worth your money.

Not only does it not come with instructions, the included bolts had no nuts and were way too small for the intended holes, plus there weren't enough for hood holes. Could not attach hood hinges at all.

Bought for my JD X320 and though it fits great it's not an exact replacemment for the original. With that said, it does fit perfectly, looks great, and is outstanding quality. I actually own a |JD X570 as well and it turns out that its an exact replacement for that model so go figure. Regardless, I would 100% recommend it to anyone. It doesn't come with instructions but you dont need any. All screws bolts and hardware are included and its an easy swap. Super pleased with the product and would give it 6 Stars if I could!!

Hard to assemble no instructions

This went together ok, not great. Assembly instructions would be helpful but I used my broken hood as a guide. The plastic seems brittle so I dont know how long it will last. It fit my x330 mower.

I don't do many product reviews but I had to do this one. I take good care of it but I have several acres so my JD gets a lot of use and was looking tired. A wind storm brought a tree down on the shed and the JD's hood was damaged. That was just enough to get me thinking about a new one. I didn't know there were companies other than JD themselves making replacement parts like this but the price was low enough that I decide to try fixing what I had instead of buying a new one or buying parts through the Deere. WOW, it not only fixed the tractor, it made is look new again. This kit is well done and a drop in replacement. UPS messed up the delivery but this vendor was on top of it and very responsive and everything still got here earlier than expected. I'm impressed by the product and the outstanding service and just had to share that for anyone considering these parts.
