Radial Engineering HotShot DM1 Microphone Signal Muting Footswitch

Much like many of the reviewers I ordered this for a talk back solution, and I encountered a loud pop/click when the switch would press or be depressed. A buddy of mine suggested trying phantom power on both channels… we did and it FIXED it! It’s very possible that it says this in the instructions, but I did not read those. Buy this! It’s awesome!

I bought this product about 6 years ago and it's still kicking! Works perfectly and I use it regularly. The only problem, which they have fixed on later models, is that the male side (3 pin side) doesn't have a latch, so I have to tape the cord in to ensure it doesn't slip out during performances.

TLDR; Perfect for music directors on a worship team that uses in-ears.I used this for the first time last week and was impressed on how rugged this device is.You have an option of using this as a temporary, mute switch or enabling Line 2, and using a separate XLR cable from the unit to be used as a music director to communicate with your team.Since majority of our team uses in-ears, I’m able to sing into a wired microphone as normal but once I step on the pedal, I can communicate to the team through their in-ears only.

Super valuable tool for use with all our band members using in-ear monitors!

Radial products are great, but this one is useless. When you step on the button you get a loud pop through your PA that the audience can hear. As the lead vox, I wanted to be able to switch my mic to the talk back channel on our board to talk to the band, but this pop makes it unacceptable. Too bad because the rest of the design is perfect (sturdy box, rugged, connections are what you need to switch. Had to return it today. Hopefully I can find something else.

Heavy Duty! Only use as a foot pedal. Button is too hard to use by hand. It is a good product but I had to return it because I was looking for a switch to use by hand.

I play drums and sing backups. This product is great. My vocal mic isn't picking up the drums when i'm not singing. When it's time to sing, I just step on this and it makes my vocal mic live. As with all Radial products, it's FANTASTIC!

This pedal is awesome! As a band leader I am able to talk to the rest of the band with one push of a button. It works great and doesn’t degrade quality.
