Good value wet suit that really does the job

Wow. This is a fantastic suit. Affordable, and looks and feels great. Easy to get into (if a somewhat different mode of entry) and out of. Fit was good (although maybe even a size down would have been even better). Flattering (as wet suits go!)

This is such a good wetsuit, both in terms of quality and performance. I do a lot of wild swimming, and when braving cold UK waters I need something warm, durable, and comfortable. This wetsuit is the perfect mix. Getting it on is surprisingly easy, especially for a wetsuit. The material feels tough and durable, yet stretchy enough to move freely in. The material feels very well-made. The zip placement is smart and the locking button over the zipper is a nice detail that gives that added security. Fit-wise, it’s mostly spot on. The torso and legs hug the body comfortably without restricting movement, and the arms offer great long coverage. In terms of warmth, this suit holds up incredibly well in cold water, exactly what I was hoping for. It feels like a standard 3mm suit in terms of weight, maybe a touch heavier, but that extra bit of insulation seems to help with keeping warm. It’s a comfortable, flexible, and well-built wetsuit that absolutely justifies the price!

We tried this 3/2 Osprey Source wetsuit courtesy of the Amazon Vine program. Buying a wetsuit online is a bit of a gamble unless you stick with a particular brand and know that you fit a particular brand's cut/shape. However, with Amazon free returns and the super stretch nature of this Osprey wetsuit, it's not such a gamble with this one. My son (tall 14 year old) was squarely set for a 'Small Tall' size option and it fits him far better than any we've had before. This is because the stretch really is super stretchy and makes getting it on and off simple and allows a bit of leeway in body shape and size. We've found the expected size to be accurate off the size guide. My son hasn't had an over-the-head zip wetsuit before and so was pleasantly surprised. One of the benefits of that is there's less flushing down the back of your neck in duck-dives and it also means you can definitely sort your zip out yourself (as back-zips have a tendency to get stuck at some point and you need assistance from someone else). I will say that he gets the wetsuit on just fine but does need a little help easing it back over his head to get it off. He strained his neck a bit the first time doing this but it's just a case of getting used to it a bit. This wetsuit is a 3mm chest and 2 mm everywhere else, so perfect for British summer as a 2-season or 3-season wetsuit at a push (depending on your tolerance/sport). It's really flexible and the zip has a popper to keep it shut too - so no worry about the zip popping open in the middle of a session. Like the fact it's mainly recycled and Osprey have even turned to water-based glue in an eco-push. All good points. We've had many wetsuits here form basic to top-end and this is definitely worthy of the £99 asking price - super stretchy and comfortable and from a well-known brand. 5 stars from me. Functional and looks the part. Osprey do, do cheaper 3/2 full-suit alternatives but they are more basic and nowhere near as stretchy (i.e. comfortable and as easy to get on and off) so this one definitely recommended by me. When I need to change my own summer suit I hope these are still for sale then too.

This is my first wet suit, something I've always wanted to try and this was a fun squeeze to get into but once on, it felt really nice and comfortable, a nice body contour following fit and there was no areas I felt overly tight. Living near the Scottish shores, it's really cold here but this was ace, made going for a dip really nice and while it was a brief outing just now, I'm dying to get back out and will later when the weather picks up over here. Material wise it was great, it looks excellent and as mentioned a comfortable feel in it, the quality of it is excellent and think it's great value for money for a full suit like this, was really happy with it.

This is a quality product by Osprey, with strong and not overly stretchy neoprene, consistent and reliable stitching, and a good cut. Areas around the joints are well finished and suggest quality. I would have liked a more precise sizing guide but it's ok.
