This is an incredibly made camera cage for the Sony a7R V. It fits like a glove with smooth lines and is very ergonomic in the hand, especially around the handle. It allows three points of contact mounting to the camera body, so it's rock solid as well. SmallRig made a similar design for the Sony a9 III and a1 II, but that version does not include mounting holes for a side handle like this one does. That is a huge-added bonus to me. Probably the most streamlined, yet still with lots of mounting points of any camera cage currently on the market at the time of this review. Great design, light weight, very sturdy and highly versatile. It's slightly on the expensive side, but the benefits outweigh the price.

Love the looks and tight fit. Although it's not listed as an option, I'm using it on an A7v. The smooth edges and overall top notch quality of Smallrig is appropriate.

its a great rig and you see all the reviews, its very well built. I'll just say the negative stuff. The grip area is a problem as it adds MORE bulk to an already large handle, so if all you doing is just adding a cage to protect it, I wouldnt go for this. Instead the Leofoto A7r5 L bracket, it covers the full base as well as the side with screw mounts. Model LPS-A7R5 at half the price.

Everything about this rig is awesome…adds a cool look while also protecting your investment. Super easy to install. The little tool needed for the small allen head screws is magnetized under the rig itself! Worth the money!

Excelente calidad, me gusta mucho el color y la textura, el clamp HDMI no me convenció mucho, debido a que se tiene que instalar con la llave y toma un poco de tiempo hasta ajustarla correctamente en comparativa al HDMI clamp de la jaula de la cámara FX3 el cual solo se tiene que mover un tornillo y se cierran las mandíbulas de la mordaza

Well designed, light and it protects camera sufficiently for my use. Great configuration for hybrid shooter where focus is more on pictures and some videography devices. I like Ulanzi devices and have their original model for A7M4 too but this one just fits better, no sharp edges and more polished.

Die Gages für die A7 oder A9 Reihe von Sony haben bislang immer sehr wuchtig gewirkt und teilweise wichtige Tasten der Kameras verdeckt. Nun hat Smallrig endlich einen Käfig konstruiert, der zum einen sehr viele Montagemöglichkeiten bietet und zum anderen die Kamera nicht unnötig größer macht. Der 3667B oder 4481 umranden die Kamera komplett und erschweren den Zugang zu den Knöpfen und Drehrädern. Durch den Sucher wirkte das ganze System dann sehr überdimensioniert. Nun ist mir aber der 4308 über den Weg gelaufen und macht wirklich alles richtig: - alle Tasten sind sehr gut zugänglich - die oberen Drehräder liegen frei - Arca-Swiss kompatibel - der Akku lässt sich funktional wechseln - ein zusätzlicher Blitzschuh - ARRI-Aufnahme vor dem Sucher - Magnetschlüssel perfekt verstaut - der Griff Handgriff fühlt sich unheimlich gut und hochwertig an - die Optik und Haptik sind herausragend - an Gurtschlitze wurde gedacht Ich bin absolut begeistert und könnte mir aktuell keinen besseren Käfig für die Sony A7IV vorstellen. Haptik und Optik haben mich hier komplett überzeugt.
