Had to cut it to fit just like they said Very easy

Installed easily. The tube was too long so I had to cut several inches off. And securing the metal retaining ring can be a little difficult. But overall it works great and installed well. It makes lowering the spare a breeze.

The spare tire hoist tube is of good quality, priced fairly, installation instructions might be helpful.

I bought this for a 2000 Silverado and the tube shaft is too long. Cut it to size and now it fits. There is no instructions on how to install but go on YouTube and search how to replace 2000s Silverado spare tire cover and a useful video pops up

I installed this on a 2001 Silverado. I actually had to trim the shaft tube down a bit because it was too long but other than that it works as advertised
