Dangerous & badly made (and/or terrible QC)
Dangerous & bad. Hard to review this product since I really had high hopes, but as a beekeeper & educator this product has serious flaws! Maybe I received a bad unit, but I think that's unlikely. It's hard to photograph exactly how bad it is, but I will try. Every edge on the main piece was razor sharp with burrs, like it had missed every deburring step. The spot welding is ugly and the "flap" folded under the bottom part is uglier -- on top of being sharp AF. You can't clean this unit with anything (or handle it much at all), without risk of cutting yourself badly -- and this frame holder is supposed to be on display for your guests to interact with? The edges of this unit closest to those interacting with it might as well be made from serrated blades -- I would not recommend installing a honey frame of any kind on this unit for display to children or the general public. For private use, even, how do you clean it? The burr edges catch & cut deeply into any sponge or rag you might use to clean it. Solid concept but it really feels like a Martian saw a photo of a honey frame holder & spot welded one together, with no thought to safety or utility. Either I got a unit that missed every quality control step or whoever manufactured it doesn't "eat their own dog food", which is likely given the AI-generated image of this unit being used -- never did a unit get actually used by the manufacturer, otherwise they'd have a photo or two of that, right? Super disappointed & will be returning it. Super expensive unit for what it is -- which is dangerously sharp steel crapola manufactured by the lowest bidder.
