Bright Colors and Easy Setup
These bulbs were super easy to get connected to my Echo hub, and they’ve been working perfectly ever since. The colors are bright and vibrant, and I like being able to adjust the white tones from warm to cool depending on the room. They respond quickly to voice commands and haven’t dropped connection once. I set a few scenes for movie nights and mornings, and it really changes the mood of the space. For the price and reliability, this 4-pack is a great deal.

Great Smart Bulb for Home Assistant
Excellent smart bulb from ThirdReality. Fully compatible with Home Assistant that supports both color temperature and xy modes with no issues. Setup was smooth, performance is reliable, and the price-to-value ratio is outstanding. I just ordered a second 4-pack. If I had to mention a downside, it’s only that I wish the bulbs were slightly brighter. Otherwise, highly recommended. min_color_temp_kelvin: 2202 max_color_temp_kelvin: 7042 min_mireds: 142 max_mireds: 454 supported_color_modes: color_temp, xy color_mode: color_temp brightness: 254 color_temp_kelvin: 2702 color_temp: 370 hs_color: 28.391, 65.659 rgb_color: 255, 167, 88 xy_color: 0.524, 0.388 off_with_transition: false off_brightness: null friendly_name: XxXxXxXxXxXxXxXx supported_features: 40

Zigbee + RGB+ Works With Home Assistant = The best value for Zigbee bulbs for Home Assistant
These are the best smart lights you can buy, especially for the price. They are solid RGB Zigbee bulbs, act as Zigbee repeaters to improve your mesh network, are decently bright, have decent colors, AND are cheaper than any other Zigbee bulbs you can get. Seriously, these are an incredible value, less expensive than most single-color dimmable smart bulbs. I am using them with Home Assistant via ZHA and a Zigbee dongle. ThirdReality is a Works With Home Assistant partner, and these bulbs work perfectly with Home Assistant. They got a firmware update within the first day which went off without a hitch. Whites are good with a range from 2000 Kelvin (candlelight) to about 6500 Kelvin (cool daylight). Color reproduction is fairly good with bright, saturated colors; there are some imperfections with pure green seeming a little less saturated than some other bulbs and the hues being a bit shifted in the purple to magenta/red range, but otherwise they're great: most colors look nice and saturated and you can eke out the right color if you work a bit. I do wish the color reproduction were a bit more spot-on for the purples and magentas, though. If you use Home Assistant, don't hesitate; buy these bulbs! They're an incredible value from a company that cares and is actively supporting Home Assistant. You can't go wrong!

Great bulbs for the price, will buy again
I got a zigbee controller for Home Assistant just to try these things out. Zigbee itself is amazing. The pairing speed and mesh capabilities set this apart from earlier-generation smart lights. I ordered 20 of them, and within 30 minutes they were all paired, grouped and ready to rock. I was just plugging them in in a production line while the fam ran around and plugged them in. The colors aren't as good as high-end lights like Hue, but they're VERY good for the price. They're a little dimmer than a standard kitchen downlight if you're using them for that purpose, though my kitchen has 12 downlights so these things were a relief from the brightness. I've purchased more since then which is a good sign. After a month of use they've proven to be reliable. Only gotcha for people new to zigbee is that firmware updates take a LONG time, sometimes 20+ minutes but they all updated successfully.

The Best A19 smart color led bulb
Best LED A19 bulbs I've used. These bulbs pair faster than you can name them, they respond instantly, they don't bounce due to state latency on `turn_off`, they work perfectly with Home Assistant ZHA or Z2M, they do an excellent job in their Zigbee router role, and they make beautiful light. They've rescued our fancy lighting from NanoLeaf-Matter-Thread failures and made life simpler. I can't rate bulb lifespan/durability yet, but many Third Reality smart plugs and several soil, T/H, and other sensors have worked perfectly in my home over a long period and 3R's support for real local control stands out among smart home device makers.

Great Zigbee Performance, But Colors Don’t Match My Other Lights
I really like how these THIRDREALITY bulbs connect via Zigbee—it’s fast and reliable. Unlike my old Wi-Fi bulbs that sometimes lag or drop connection, these respond instantly when I turn them on or change settings through Home Assistant. All I needed was a Zigbee dongle, and they paired without any hassle. For the price, especially compared to the Govee bulbs I used before, this 4-pack feels like a solid deal. They’re simple, get the job done, and don’t clog up my Wi-Fi network. That said, the color accuracy is noticeably off. When I set both these bulbs and my Govee lights to the same color—like a warm white or soft blue—they end up looking completely different. It’s not just a slight difference; it’s obvious and kind of jarring, especially if you’re trying to create a consistent mood across rooms. I think part of the issue might be that these bulbs aren’t super bright, so the colors come across as duller or washed out compared to what I’m used to. They’re fine for general lighting, but don’t expect vibrant, true-to-setting hues. One more thing: these bulbs don’t have any built-in effects like music sync, rainbow cycles, or scene modes that Govee offers. If you’re into flashy lighting, you’ll need to handle all that through Home Assistant or another smart home system. But if you just want basic, dependable colored bulbs that work well with Zigbee and don’t cost a fortune, these are a decent pick. Just don’t expect them to match other brands perfectly.

Great Bulbs...but
Edit: THIRDREALITY just pushed an update that fixes the brightness issues, changed to 5 stars! So far these are great Zigbee bulbs and are now supported in the latest version of Zigbee2MQTT. The color seems good, nice and bright and very responsive. Here's the but, no mater what setting I use in my Home Assistant automation they will not turn on if you include brightness in the automation. I'm trying to set them as normal white bulbs during the day and then based on motion at night turn on red at 10% brightness. I know the automation works as I've tried it with Hue and Yeelight bulbs with no issue. Another thing I realized is I have the bulbs pushed through a HomeKit bridge so I can use voice commands on a HomePod. When I tell Siri to "turn on the lamp 20 percent" it will not turn on. Then the I next time tell Siri to "turn on the lamp" it comes on at 20 percent. I have tried with different brightness and it's the same. If I add the brightness level to the voice command it does not turn on and the next time I tell it to turn on it will be at the last brightness level I told it when it didn't come on. And to make things even weirder, If I tell Siri to "turn on the lamp blue", it comes on blue (really works with any color) but if I tell Siri to "turn on the lamp 20 percent" (or any brightness level) it doesn't work like before but now if the next time I try to turn it on I say "turn on the lamp blue" it won't come on until I say "turn on the lamp" then it comes on and the brightness level (from 2 commands ago) and blue. I tested saying a brightness level (doesn't work) and then "turn on the lamp blue" (doesn't work) then another color (doesn't work), I tried like 4 different colors in a row and it will not come back on until I just say "turn on the lamp" then it comes on set to the last color I said. It will not turn back on after adding a brightness level unless I use the basic "turn on the lamp" command. I might be sending these back, great price but these limitations are a deal breaker.

Thirdreality Bulbs and More
Setting up Home Assistant Green with the ZBT-1 dongle I selected the THIRDREALITY Zigbee Smart Color Bulb ZL1 for lighting fixtures around my house and purchased 20 bulbs. This turned out to be a big mistake. These bulbs were constantly dropping offline (unavailable). I tried everything, swapped out the Home Assistant Green, the ZBT-1, added a UPS to the HA Green, purchased a new Wi-Fi system (TP-Link Deco BE33000 mesh) so I could set the Wi-Fi channel to #1 and the Zigbee channel to #20. I finally replaced all 20 Thirdreality bulbs with Philips Hue Essential Smart LED A19 Bulbs. The system has been running without any offline “unavailable” issues for over a month. I’m not saying all Thirdreality products are bad. The THIRDREALITY Zigbee Motion Sensor R1 is EXCELLENT, I am using 4 of them. The THIRDREALITY Zigbee Temperature and Humidity Sensor Lite works as advertised, I’m using 7 of them. The THIRDREALITY Zigbee Contact Sensor, Door and Window Monitor have been operating flawlessly, I’m using 6 of them. The THIRDREALITY ZigBee Smart Plug with Real-time Energy Monitoring are fairly stable (occasionally unavailable), I’m using 10 of them. The THIRDREALITY Multi-Function Night Lights are so bad (2 of them) they have also been permanently removed from my system. I have a love/hate relationship with the THIRDREALITY Zigbee Smart Switch Toggle/Rocker. I’m using 14 of them. The concept is brilliant, a device that fits over a standard wall light switch and uses a mechanical movement to turn the switch ON & OFF. The downside is they stop working “unavailable” often. You have to put the switch in the “ON” position, hold the button for 30 seconds and re-pair them back into the Zigbee network. I am by no means an expert with this system, it’s just another very expensive hobby.
