Good for the price - the turner that comes with them is nothing to write home about, but a good value for the money, accurately sized, and bit into the brass I was using pretty well.

Worked better than expected for the price, the ratchet switch changes easily and doesn't jam up. The only issue really is the ball detent for the cross bar could do with being a little stronger, as it doesn't retain the bar at all, making it difficult to use in certain situations and you risk loosing the bar.

Found this to be a good tool well made especially for the money It could have done with its own little box instead of the plastic bag it came in But still good value

I bought this to rethread the M8 mirror threading on my motorbike, it worked but honestly don't see it surviving any other real world use. The locking mechanism for the threader was very weak and it made the handle twist while the actual threader itself just stayed in place. Also the bar that goes into the handle doesn't lock so that is also sliding around while you're trying to use this. Maybe I did something wrong, not sure as there wasn't any guide that came with it, but either way it roughly did the job, just wouldn't buy it for anything else/expect it to even work again. Forgot to also mention the metal itself does seem decent quality, hence the 2 stars. Just the mechanism and handle bar that seem fragile.

Great little tool, but ended up not using the ratchet as I remembered that you need to go two hand turs forward, then one back to break off the swarf.... That is what an apprenticeship does for you. :)

The internal teeth that grip the tapping bit are two pieces of plastic mounted on a spring staple. If too much (and I mean not very much at all) force is exerted these parts immediately fail (tool spins uselessly) and your tapping bit will become stuck in the metal you are creating a thread in. This makes this tool effectively useless. In addition the metal of the tapping bits is low grade and will degrade after two uses. This tool is a one and done piece of junk but if you only need one hole threaded maybe you're fine with that. I'm returning mine.

Good piece of kit for what I needed it for. Tapped out an aluminium brake handle assembly on a mountain bike to replace a failed fastener with the next size up.

As to be expected , low quality tool does not firmly hold 8mm tap. Nice for a one of usage, had to use a wrench to remove the tap as tool was not working.
