I was looking at this style of silverware for a few years on Amazon and afraid to pull the trigger with many reviews saying other brands had issues. When I saw the opportunity to try a set through the vine program I was super excited and requested a set quickly. It is not totally free through vine as you are responsible for the taxable value. I ended up buying additional sets on my own after realizing how great these are though.The first set I received was the mat finished silver set. Like a brush stainless steel basically. They are really well made with a good weight to them and every part is thick and sturdy. No way to easily bend them or deform them in any way. I started using them right away and run them through the dishwasher daily. After several weeks of trying them out I decided to buy more to finish the set and add the same quantity of the black version.The black ones are brushed as well and have more of a brushed black/gunmetal look than pure black. I have read reviews saying the same thing about other versions I see on Amazon. The brushed gunmetal look is exactly what I wanted, so I definitely have no problems with that, but so many other product listings just call it black which it really is not. So far, the black is also holding up well through many cycles in the dish washer. However, if the black is actually a paint and not a coating that is more permanently applied, I might end up with an issue. I hope they continue to perform well and will certinaly update if they do not.These utensils are also a different size than your standard U.S. silverware. The largest spoon is more like a Korean soup spoon. This makes it great for cereal and soups for sure. The small fork is smaller than a standard U.S. salad fork and looks more like a dessert fork, however it performs well as a salad fork. My pictures show some comparisons to silverware that came from the outback steak house since the listing details compare this to restaurant quality. However, I know many restaurants that use much thinner silverware that bends quite easily and these are far superior.The knife blade can seem a little small as well, but is actually quite awesome. Cuts well and is a size that takes care of business without anything unessesary. Even with its small size it is also a good butter knife.Overall these silverware sets are an excellent quality, with no issues in the dishwasher so far. I always remove everything from the dishwasher when it is done to make sure everything is dry.I can for sure recommend this product and will update my review if anything changes!

It works well for cutting meat, though the smaller cutting edge means it takes a little more time to cut through larger meat pieces.Overall, I think this STAPAVA dining set is a great showpiece for special occasions, guests, or a fancy meal. However, it might not be the best choice for everyday use due to the design of the knife and tablespoon. Can it be used as an everyday set? Absolutely, and although I hand wash them instead of using a dishwasher, they’ve held up well with no stains or rust after multiple washes. The only minor issue is that slight oil from fingerprints can leave temporary ‘greasy’ marks.
