1st rc car. Not dissapointed at all
Its the best thing ive gotten in a long time. My 1 yr old loves the thing. Always makin the vroom vroom sounds whenever he wants to play with it. Cant blame him. Its so much fun , nd cant wait to get him his own when he gets a bit older. Yes things will break nd heat up the motor etc. Bt fixing the thing is also part of the journey. It is a hobby grade rc afterall not jst some cheap walmart toy u discard after braking. Ive broken it maybe 5 times nd brought it back to live . id recommend buying an extra esc for when it does give up (took about 2 months for mine to give) nd diffenitly some rear driveshafts. Those are a must. Beacuase if youre new to this hobby, thats the most stubborn. Id recommend going to banggood for them take a while to get there bt they sure are worth it

Very durable rc
I don't write reviews but I had to write one on WL toys 12428 I owned 500$ rc and they have broke in 4 hours .this buggy has bashed and ran on 3s .already but 10 2s PACs though it and done great only upgrade I've done was use a redcat gen 7 drive shaft and cut it down to fit size .won't ever have to worry about broken drive shaft again

Very impressive for the cost
After buying many of the toy grade RC cars and having them brake in the first few hours of play, I decided to get this one for my son for Christmas. The packaging is very cheap, but I can't say that for the vehicle itself. It is assembled very well and has impressed me quite a bit.Pros:1. looks great2. can replace parts if they break2. 4x4 and can go anywhere3. metal gears in Differentials4. comes with battery and charger5. durable and water resistant6.12mm hexes so aftermarket wheels will fitCons:1. Plastics are a bit soft, so easy to strip screws2. Differentials have lubrication, but not much. fill them up with your choice of Diff oil/grease3. battery, while powerful, only lasts around 7-10 minutes...... if you are lucky4. I haven't checked yet, but the shocks feel like they could use some oil.I'd recommend this car to anyone who is even remotely interested in the RC hobby. There are a couple things to do right away like upgrade the battery to a higher capacity 2 cell shorty pack and fill the diffs and shocks with grease/oil, but it is a great entry way into a very fun hobby.

Most durable rc on the market at the cheapest price
Working on the desert racer is heady and fun. I got it for my 5 year old after a lot of reasearch and it holds up! Not only is it tough but it’s easily customizable! I’ve added a new steering servo and even added a 4000 mah battery on the back and it takes all the jumps and abuse my 5 yo can throw at it! We’ve had it for a year and it’s out every weekend jumping our ramp and going on trail hikes! I haven’t had to replace a single suspension part on it even with the added weight! My gps hiking tracker says it’s done close to 60 miles and the only real replacement needed has been tires and the rear diff! I have about 19 off-roader rc’s including some $500 ones and it’s no lie that this is the favorite for me and my son!

Be Warned - No Warranty Listed and No company reply. You will need to replace things pretty soon.
Within a day, the front wheels were not tracking properly although we were adjusting the trim screw. That is when we started to try and contact the manufacturer to see what the warranty is because it isnt posted on the amazon site. That was a few weeks ago and they still have not replied. But with a 11 year old boy, they just want to use the car. So we did. We actually bought three different cars from different manufacturers. This car was definitely the fastest. But that being said, has a high center of gravity so it had a tendency to want to flip over. Then within a week the rear wheels stopped working. The driveshaft to them is plastic and has two very small tabs that are supposed to help lock it in. Let me repeat, plastic on the driveline. So figuring that the manufacturer would never reply, I went on line and bought metal parts to change. When I tried to take off the old ones, the set screws on part of their driveline that was metal, were so small and hex head, they immediately stripped. I had to take 20 minutes to drill them out.If the company would have replied, I would have worked with them but it is silent city.Be warned, if you but this car, you are on your own.

Its really a toy
I ordered this one because it got here way ahead of the Goolskie XK124 which isn't due to get to my doorstep till next month, maybe so since this one is the predecessor to the XK I figured I'd try it. The XK is a toy, it sounds like a toy, acts like a toy and breaks like a Hobby Grade. The rig may have come broken and I didn't notice it because it was more or less part of the front suspension I'm not savvy with all that so I wont pretend anyway I noticed it sticking up after a few runs so I returned it. I will wait and see how the XK is, I ordered the XK because I have the HBX 209 which is literally brilliant its a 24 scale crawler and thats why I wanted to try the XK so lets see what happens.

Neat for the price.
I've been looking for a move to a "Hobby Grade" R/C for a while and after watching several youtube videos on this one I went for it. Hardest part was waiting for the battery to charge up for my first run. Ran all over the yard and chased a neighborhood cat (well snuck up on it and turn around when he started running). I've run into a few curbs, flipped it and so on, lot's of power, but it's held up so far. Only thing that I've damaged was the aluminum skidplate on the front. Bent it back a bit when I hit the curb. Keep in mind that's the only real metal on the cars body. My only real complaint is the battery runs down in about 15-20 minutes and takes 3 hours to charge. Gonna be buying a few batteries soon. For a move from "Toys" to Hobby I think it's a great deal.
