This fan is great. It eld up to being used continuously to blow the heat out of my room and didn't quit until this year, but it still blows cool air into the room and it has good fan speed, blowing quite strong , and was ever so easy to use. I liked the size. Because it was low enough in the window that I could easily look out the. Window still. I just wish that I had gotten the one with a remote.

Aside from fitting perfectly in my kitchen window (without needing the spacer blocks), it not only looks great but works exceptionally well. I actually left it on overnight because it was so quiet I forgot to turn it off. Even at high speed, it's very quiet compared to other fans I've had and produces a strong airflow. It's very easy to use and switching from intake to exhaust is a great feature in a kitchen without other venting. I can't say how practical it might be in larger rooms since there are no movable fins to direct the airflow left or right, but in my modest Manhattan kitchen, I couldn't ask for anything better.

So I read extensive reviews for this product prior especially about the pitfalls of the foam blocks they include to fill any gaps if your window is too wide. I thought oh they can’t be that difficult. well they aren’t difficult to understand. They’re just STUPID. My windows are funky and even getting them in how they’re supposed to I couldn’t close the gap between the top of the window all the way so they were loose- and there’s one area that just has a perpetual gap it seems. I’m personally ok with this and taped everything to seal it. But it is poor design in that area. But in every other area so far I LOVE this fan. It’s minimal and sleek which is nice aesthetically but also nice because it will be easier to store in my one bedroom apt than a 2nd AC. It’s SO quiet compared to my little vornado floor fan even on the highest setting. And the gusts while cooling aren’t so strong to bother me while sitting in front of it. I think this will provide more than sufficient cooling for my living room. I can’t wait to try the exhaust feature the next time I grill up some steaks- I’m hoping it’ll be just the thing my apt needs from getting the living room all Smokey when I cook.

I have had these for over a year. Bought 3 of them and constantly use in spring and fall to bring fresh air into the home. These work well in normal rain. The air can be reversed so I run 1 as intake and on other side of the house 1 on on exhaust. They do allow some outside noise but less than a fully open window. It came with multiple sized shims to fit almost any window.
