I picked up the Handcraft Blends Organic Castor Oil (16 fl oz) because castor oil has about a thousand uses and I was curious if it could live up to its reputation. First impression: the bottle is a nice size and the oil itself seems like a good qualit*. It’s scentless, which I appreciate because I don’t always want to smell like a botanical garden. The texture is thick like castor oil should be, and it feels really nice and moisturizing on the skin. I’ve been using it on dry spots, cuticles, and even a little on my hair growth, and it works surprisingly well. It leaves skin feeling soft and hydrated, and a little bit goes a long way. The oil feels clean and smooth, not greasy in a weird way, just the normal rich castor oil texture. For the size of the bottle, it also feels like a good value, since you’ll probably be using it for months unless you’re bathing in it (which I cannot officially recommend). Pros: good quality oil, scentless, very moisturizing, versatile, and a good value for the size. Cons: it’s quite thick, so if you pour too much you may suddenly feel like a glazed donut, and the bottle opening can make it easy to accidentally over-pour. Overall though, it’s a solid castor oil that does exactly what you expect and keeps skin feeling soft and happy

I absolutely love this castor oil. It's thick and of very good quality; you can tell it's pure. I've been using it on my hair and eyelashes, and I've noticed my hair is stronger, shinier, and has less fall out. I also apply it to my eyebrows and nails, and it really helps keep them healthier. Although it's a bit thick, it absorbs well if you use a small amount. The packaging is practical and lasts quite a while because you only need a few drops. I definitely recommend it if you're looking to naturally strengthen and nourish your hair and skin.

I am new to castor oil wraps and was worried it would not fit due to my larger size. However, these are very easy to apply and can easily wrap around a large waist. It is comfortable to wear and the material is soft. I would say that these are also easy to clean. I use a bit of baking soda and water to clean mine and hang to dry. I find the effectiveness to be as described. I find this to be a great value as someone who is new to this type of therapy. The quality of the product is fantastic and holds up to the use of them. I have not ventured into the hair growth of the castor oil as of yet. I have naturally thick hair and will not need that.

I don't really know if it works or not. I use it on my face. I have been using castor oil almost a year. I guess I can say I haven't gotten any more wrinkles. Lol. I do like that it leaves my skin soft. I was using coconut oil prior. I also take supplements so who know what really is keeping my skin looking pretty decent at 55. It's thick, good quality, stays on long, a little hard to wash off but that's actually good!

I have fine, limp, flat hair (but a lot of it). I worried that this oil would weigh it down or make it greasy but it's one of the best hair treatments I've ever tried. I used it on dry hair, overnight. It leaves my hair soft, bouncy, shiny, and noticeably more manageable (less fly-aways, tangles, and stringiness). Its not greasy after a shampoo. For the first time I finally have some body, volume, and lift at the root and crown. The only cons are that it's very thick and a bit hard to work through the hair, and there is a very light scent which is not my favorite. Both of these minor drawbacks are mitigated by the benefits though. Too soon to tell if it works for growth but it's worth it just for the way it makes my hair look and feel.

This product has worked wonders on my feet. I live in San Francisco and walk most places giving my feet a good workout. I use this on them every evening and it has helped sooth my feet more than anything. It is a good product for the rest of your body as well. A small amount goes along way and I use it sparingly as castor oil in general is a very thick product

It’s thick, but once you warm it between your hands, it’s easy to apply and spreads well. I use it on my face, hands, nails, and hair. My skin feels much softer and more hydrated, and it honestly looks smoother and healthier. I have applied it on my hair too mixing it with warm coconut oil and my hair also feels softer and less frizzy after use. A little goes a long way, so this size 16oz bottle will lasts a long time. Overall, a simple and effective natural oil that actually works. Definitely recommend it.
