Easy to use, easy to clean.
It works quite well and is easy to clean. I read other reviews before buying but I don't have the same problems. I guess I can understand why some have a problem using it. It's sort of an awkward position, though not a lot different than a back-scratcher, though takes more pressure.I have a problem with extremely dry skin in the winter. This works really well to put moisturizer on my back. As I said, above, it's easy to clean, just take the sponge out of the holder, rinse it out well, and stick it in one of the holes on the handle. The business end of the handle can be turned so it stands up, making a perfect place for the sponge to dry.

Not just for lotion
This thing is awesome! It is spongy, so you can apply oils or topical medications, not just lotion. Love it!

I have eczema and applying treatments to back challenging. Was using a band but cumbersome. This is much easier.

Body Oil Applicator (2nd Gen) — It Worked, but Disappointing Overall
I bought the Body Oil Applicator (2nd Gen) with a 19" foldable long curved handle specifically for an upcoming trip, hoping it would be the perfect solution. While it technically worked as intended, it was ultimately a disappointment. The design felt flimsy, and the applicator itself was bulkier than I expected.In fact, it was so cumbersome that I decided not to pack it for my trip because it took up too much space. It might work better for someone who doesn’t mind the size, but it just wasn’t for me.

Does the job
I like this back scratcher. I like the way it unfolds and I like that you can remove the sponges to wash.

I Use Almost Daily
I use to lotion my back after showering. I wish the pad was more securely held in the head, but I make it work. Easy to wash and has a spare pad.

Ok for travel
Body oil/lotion applicator is ok. The best thing about it is that it folds to travel. It does help with getting a bit of lotion on your back but you have to put a lot on and consistently rub it in. Does not compare to the Back Lotion Applicator and Massager with rollers.It comes with 2 sponges. I'm not impressed.
