Amazing read!
Wow! We read book one for our book club, and I just couldn't stop turning page after page, book after book, finally coming to the end. This is a new author to me and one ill be checking the back list on. I loved these characters! It,was a tough read at times, but I trusted the author to give me the HEA, and I was never disappointed. It was fast paced, steamy, filled with angst, suspense and strong well developed characters. Well done!

OMFG!
Leigh Rivers Restitution is nothing short of a masterpieceāa tour de force that delves deep into the tumultuous realms of dark romance, mental health, and psychological intrigue. This book is not just a story; itās an emotional odyssey that leaves readers breathless and thoroughly invested in the lives of its characters. From the very first page, Restitution grips you with its raw intensity. The first half of the book is an emotional battlefield where readers will find their hearts battered and their emotions stretched to their limits. Riversā portrayal of Kade and Stacey's relationship is both harrowing and beautiful. Kade and Stacey, having already endured unimaginable suffering, are compelling in their resilience and depth. Their love story is not a fairy tale but a brutal, beautiful journey of survival and redemption. What sets this book apart is its profound exploration of mental health and abuse within a dark romantic framework. Rivers does not shy away from the gritty realities of her characters' lives, making their struggles and triumphs all the more impactful. The dual POV narrative enhances the reader's connection to Kade and Stacey, offering an intimate look into their thoughts and emotions as they navigate their complex world.Tobias, another standout character in the book, adds another layer of depth to the story. His presence is magnetic, and his role in the narrative is both compelling and crucial. The interplay between Kade, Stacey, and Tobias creates a rich tapestry of relationships that are as intricate as they are intense. The emotional stakes are high throughout the book, and Riversā ability to make readers feel every twist and turn is nothing short of extraordinary. The flashbacksāthose precious, tender glimpses into Kade and Stacey's pastāare heart-meltingly adorable. They offer a stark contrast to the darker elements of their present, highlighting the pure, untainted love that existed before their world turned upside down.As the story reaches its climax, readers will be on the edge of their seats, hoping against hope for a happy ending. And when it comes, it is deeply satisfying. Kade and Staceyās happy ending feels hard-earned and well-deserved, a testament to their unwavering love and resilience. Rivers delivers a finale that will leave you simultaneously heartbroken and elated. The entire trilogy is a testament to Riversā talent and storytelling prowess. Each book builds on the last, creating a cohesive and emotionally charged narrative that is unforgettable. Fans of dark romance, psychological thrillers, and stories of redemption will find themselves utterly engrossed in this series. In sum, Restitution is a heart-wrenching, beautifully crafted tale that will stay with you long after the final page. Leigh Rivers has created a world where love and pain coexist, and where the strength of the human spirit shines through even in the darkest of times. If you haven't yet read this trilogy, prepare yourself for a journey that is as devastating as it is rewarding. And if, like me, youāve already experienced the emotional rollercoaster of Kade and Stacey's story, know that it was worth every moment of heartache and joy.

Such a good storyline!!
This series had me sucked in from the very beginning!! I truly hate to see it all come to an end šOverall, I loved the storyline and became attached to the main charactersā¦ALL of them! There was a lot of really hard subjects, but I do not have any real triggers so it was a fairly easy read for me. I do wish that we could have had another book that went into more detail as they started their family. I felt like that whole process along with Base and Lucy could have been enough for a fourth book.As a series I give it āļøāļøāļøāļøāļø

Such a gripping story...
You'll fall in love with Kade and Stacey. The characters' development is phenomenal. It's gripping and at times gut wrenching. You will.feel all of the emotions. I couldn't put the three books down. Kudos to Leigh Rivers for such a complete story. It takes a bit to get there but is absolutely perfect. The spicy parts are fantastic and just keep coming but the relationship of the main characters can at times be devastating. Hang in there, these books are so worth reading! Now I'll look.to see if they're on audible, because a girl like me needs both! I highly recommend this trilogy š

Couldn't put the series down!
I didn't want to leave a full review for these books until I finished the series. What a wild ride! What Stacey and Kade had to endure individually is just gut-wrenching, and when they leaned on each other it was amazing to see how their characters healed through it, or tried to. The dynamics between some of the characters in the family was unique and it was really interesting to read how it all played out between everyone, not just Stacey and Kade. I was a little disturbed by the fact that I was cheering them on when some of the "triggering moments" were happening while they were seeking their vengeance, but I was rooting for them regardless! With how long the books are, I appreciated that the timeline of events moved quickly and didn't dwell too much on inner dialogue or one single event. This was my first read from this author and the books did not disappoint! Looking forward to reading more from LR.

Good series. Better duet
Enjoyed the serious but this should have been a duet. I felt like I was reading the same thing over and over. Just kept hashing and replaying all the events. It was like every chapter began with a summary. Really just disappointing how long and dragged out this last one was. Again overall 3.5-4 star series. Decent read but I hate to DNF and it was torture forcing myself to finish. It was very obvious what was going to happen. Also not a fan of miscommunication trope

Never Alone
I was so engrossed into this book. I was waiting to see just how Chris was going to die. I couldn't wait to read when it happened. And when it did happen, I was screaming and yelling, because it was about time!!! And the way it happened, I was screaming "That a girl Stacey". She just did her thing!!! And then we have Tobais and Kade and Base and Bernedette. And the whole Archie part!!! It was gross, but he got exactly what he deserved!!! It was a very good wrap up to the whole story. I mean you have Base and Lu and the whole Russian thing. You have Kade and Stacey and Bernedette and Archie thing. Then you have Ewan and Aria and Tobais thing. It was all tied together with a nice and neat little bow.

This Trilogy Is Perfection!
ššš¬šš¢šš®šš¢šØš§(The Edge of Darkness 3)By: Leigh Riversāāāāā+Friends.... I don't even know quite what to say.Ā This trilogy was.... You just need to read it to see.My only regret, is that I waited so long to read it after my friend Justine raved about it for so long. (Seriously, wtf?! What is wrong with me??)The final I stallment to The Edge of Darkness was SO MUCH. There are so many emotions and feelings in this book. The pain, heartache, fear, rage, love and joy - it overflows the pages.I said in my review for book 2 that my heart hurt for Kade but that was nothing compared to this book. The traumas that this man works to overcome are unthinkable.Ā Stacey is his perfect match in every way with her independence, yet dedication, patience and love.So many times in this book, I had the biggest evil grin - when you get there, you'll know. And the side characters!! I am so addicted to them that I actually PM'd the author begging for their story and the scream I scrome when she said she has a couple stories in store for us!!(And yes, I am still totally obsessed with Tobias.) š« I don't want to ruin this trilogy for you, so I won't say if it's a HEA, a HEA for now or not a HEA. I WILL say, you NEED to read it.Ā It's is 100% going on my top reads of 2024.My first dive into Leigh's work was this trilogy and she will forever be an autobuy author for me.Ā š¤š¤š¤

The ending we deserve
Been through hell and back with this book but the third book is definitely dark but I felt satisfied to see the characters getting what they deserve and in return we the readers sighing in relief and happiness and also crying because if you thought that this book had only soft good parts, you are wrong. The banter between kade and Sebastian, Barry and Tobias made it so fun to read! I am definitely going to follow the authors works and consider myself a fan.

fantastic ending to a great series
This book was the best wrap up I have ever needed in a series. It wasnāt too rushed and still kept me on the edge of my seat right till the end.Is this a series I would read again? No only because the content in the first two books are very heavy and I didnāt like reading all the abuse Stacey suffered and secondly the abuse of Kade/base. Having said that I would re-read this book again because it gave the closure needed.Iām so so glad Stacey and Kade kept each-other going and worked through their traumas together. After everything they went through from start to end their love for each-other even apart held them together tightly.I enjoyed all the suffering Archie, Bernadette and their daughter went through. What wasnāt really explained was why they originally wanted Tobias. Archie just admits they wanted him but couldnāt get him so took Kade instead. The why was missing.Iām so glad luciella and base had babies together and another on the way by the looks of the last epilogue. I canāt wait to read their story and how they finally end up together. Finally seeing Stacey and Kade get their long awaited children together was everything I needed and more. To see them both so content and really living with their kids was the perfect ending to this book.I canāt forget Tobias. He was an incredible character this book and he was amazing. He made me chuckle multiple times and to see him not really be dead and just living happy with his kids and grandkids at the end was wonderful.Iām glad this book gave closure and ended the way it did. Often books rush things or leave things out but this book has everything needed to end the series.Although unlikely Iāll ever read this series again I would recommend it as was really good. I looked forward to Addicted to Base more than Tobias/Aria as she didnāt really interest me much as a character
