It keeps it cool for what I use it for
It works great. I have a hard drive that likes to overheat. I’m magnetized it to the side and it doesn’t overheat anymore.

Pleasantly surprised. I wish I had bought this sooner.
I have a Microsoft Surface Pro that I use for work. I have two monitors attached and numerous peripherals running. At times the case runs warmer than I like and the internal fan runs much of the time. I bought this fan thinking it was a passive system that absorbed heat from the case and dissipated it with cooling fins and a fan. This actually has a cooling mechanism that actively removes heat from the case. This morning I hadn't turned on the cooler initially and within a few minutes I had lowered the temperature by 25 degrees F. Typically the temperature reads 12C (54F) when running. Although, that would be localized to where the device was attached. The rest of the case is warmer than that. I should check with an infrared thermometer. What really impressed me was when I removed the cooler and let it run on my desk and the temperature dropped to 0C (32F). The two speed fan is also a nice option. On low speed the fan is barely audible, but still maintains a surface temperature in the 50s (Fahrenheit). I could do without the flashing LED's that can't be turned off, but it's on the back side so I don't notice them. I believe that using this from the time it's new could extend the life of your device if it's putting out a lot of heat. The only things I would improve would be a thermostat that turns the device on or off and varies fan speed as needed and an option to turn off the random LED's that service no useful purpose.

Would've likely worked, but....
The device itself seemed to work well. I could tell by running it that it got pretty cold on the back and would likely cool a laptop or tablet. It just did not work with my particular laptop which has a built-in stand.

Worked well for us.
This worked very well this summer in the heat. The only down side, if there is one, is the device didn't hold a charge (I'm not sure it was advertised as such). So we had to keep a power bank nearby. Used on an IPAD mini that would overheat in 90+ degree heat while trying to run Game Changer at the baseball field. You stick on a 3M product on the back of your tablet and then the fan will magnetically attach to the 3M product. I was initially concerned this wouldn't allow my tablet to fit in its case anymore when the fan is not in use, but so far it has not been an issue. It did a great job at keeping our tablet cool in the hot summer sun.

Good for Mac mini
The fan in my son's old Mac mini died and this actually keeps it cooler. Definitely worth the money 👍

It works!
Bought this to cool an iPad. In the summer I work outdoors in 100 degree weather and under direct sunlight the iPad overheats. Well with this the iPad kept cool enough that it didn’t overheat. You will need a large backup battery to power this cooler but other than that it works well.

Keep your device temps down
I can say it works exactly as described I use an iPad to render 3D scans. During the hot TX spring and summer the iPad can heat up pretty quickly. This actually brought down the temps of the iPad and prevented it from shutting down. I do wish it could charge from the iPad itself but it’s cheap enough to purchase a battery pack to plug into.
