1/4W Inductor Kit (49 Values, 680 Pieces)

Tired of dealing with the usual cheap, mangled and poorly packaged crap from other sources? This picture says it all. Joe’s stuff comes in a sturdy cardboard box, all of the (high quality) ziploc baggies have a neatly printed label on them, and the leads of the components are straight and true. Even better? The values are in sequential order and nothing is missing. A label on the top neatly identifies the contents, the values, and the quantity of each.Joe gets my vote for best value. Yes, it is a bit more expensive than some of the others, but the quality and attention to doing it right is SO worth it. Joe gets 5/5 stars!

Everything I have ordered here has been excellent. Very well packaged,very well labeled. Joe has supplied all the parts I need for my hobby.

If you care about any precision in your electronic components...DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT! Many of the inductors in this kit measure well over 30% out of tolerance, and not even consistently. To test my inductance meters I measure some older stock inductors still in new packaging that I bought from Mouser were well within their 5% rating according to my meter. For example, my Mouser 47uH inductors measured from 45 to 46uH on my meters. The ones in this kit measured 36uH. Quite a bit more than the 10% tolerance rating printed on the box I received. These are worthless in my applications.

I am currently using it for labs. It's worth buying it if you have a need.

I was getting inductance measurements of 40% lower than the nominal value; whereas inductors from other sellers(albeit in different form factors) would yield values within 5% of their nominal value, using the same measurement device. Furthermore, I performed a test to ascertain that it wasn't somehow a conspiracy of the method of measurement of my device against the Joe Knows inductors; I implemented an open-loop Colpitts Oscillator using a 10uH inductor of the Joe Knows Kit and a 10uH from another source - the gain of the former was 8dB while that of the latter was 22dB(closer to the result achieved in ADS[26dB]).

I set up a small lab to keep my mind busy. I have ordered other assortments of components but this one is the best. It is very complete and the components are packed in individual zip lock bags that are clearly marked. I also bought a similar assortment of capacitors which were just as great.
