Also this would be ideal for mobile homes and sited caravans
I bought this as a supplementary heater for my bathroom it’s half the size of this heaters max room size. This heater could be so much better, if the fan speed was relevant to the outside temperature as well as the room or if you could manually adjust the speed of the fan on the thermostat, I believe it would produce more heat also the internal vent cover could be better ( I did try a louvred type though the fan didn’t open them, I’m sure it will on full power ) I’m currently restricting the air flow slightly in a bid to increase the temperature. Looking at previous models, the photovoltaic panel was separate, this to me was a much better option as in my case the sun won’t be shining on the panel after about13:00, ( the fan works better in full sun ), Then I could’ve placed the photovoltaic panel for optimum max sun.

Great product
I've been using this to ventilate a garden office/summer house through the winter and it is very effective. It keeps the air flowing and moisture out. I have had no damp issues at all and have been using it for 6 months now. Setting it on Auto makes using it pretty straight forward as well. Fitting is not beyond a DIYer either. UPDATE I love this product and company! The customer service is exceptional as well. I had a tech issue and it was resolved really quickly and by very nice people. This is how a company should be run

Extra charges
The product it's self is a good sturdy product and I was going to order more but given the fact that I've been hit by additional charges regarding import and clearance I'm disappointed all round unhappy with lack of interest in resolving

Instructions totally confusing
Not installed yet due to poor instructions provided, for a start there a loads of symbols all over the instructions that only the creator of these instructions can understand different languages all over the place plus it's not in any understandable order

Reducing my carbon footprint
Ordered this a couple of months ago, the item works well but I've cheated, instead of fixing to out side wall I have simply stood it on the window sill attached a hose and use it as a room heater and clothes dryer, it faces east so picks up the early morning sun, I get about 4 hours of warm air depending on weather.

It warms up my van no problem...

Get The Installation Right And This Is Great!
This product is an excellent idea - who wouldn't want to heat their space for free, using only the energy of the sun? Although the images show pictures of a house, I suggest that this is more suitable for fitting to a garden room, holiday cabin, storage space, shed, static caravan, houseboat or other such place. In other words, a space that is not continuously used, may be left unattended for lengthy periods of time, and is at risk of dampness or stale air caused by lack of use, heat or ventilation. It works by sitting on the outside wall of your structure and using the energy of direct sunlight to warm the air behind a glass screen. That warm air is then blown through a tube to the interior of your dwelling using an electric fan powered by a small photovoltaic array also mounted behind the glass panel. The whole process is controlled by a box on the inside wall which senses relative temperatures and the interior humidity. Genius! In the right circumstances the whole concept is excellent, and I've had fun experimenting with the unit. I would not want them attached all over my house and feeding into all the rooms, but for the aforementioned cabins, garden structures or sheds they are ideal, and a perfect way of keeping those spaces damp free and a lot fresher and healthier. If my granny had one of these fitted to the static caravan she used to own, her visiting holiday guests would not have been subjected to stale air and mouldy carpets and curtains on arrival. Ah, the memories of childhood! It's important to realise that care is needed in locating these units, and not all situations will be suitable. If your room is facing North and the structure is surrounded by trees this isn't going to work. It needs direct sunlight, and the more the better, and that means an open, south facing aspect. So, consider the daily shadow path of trees, fences and other obstructions before you decide where to mount the unit. Think also of how the angle of the sun changes over the seasons. Get it right, and you'll be impressed by how much warm air this will generate. It can also, incidentally, ventilate your space during the hot summer months, rather than heat it, thereby reducing instead of increasing the internal temperature. It's all programmable on the controller supplied. In the box you receive all the kit required - the panel, ducting tube, vent, controller box and wiring, plus a decent set of instructions. Impressively we also get the hole saw required to drill the hole in the wall for the vent! I'm unsure how long it would take in ideal conditions to generate enough pure heat to pay for the cost of purchase - probably a very long time! But the equation isn't that simple. A steady flow of fresh, slightly warmed air into an otherwise closed and unused space can make all the difference, preventing mildew and rot from taking hold. That in itself could save you hundreds if not thousands of pounds in saved repair or replacement. And when you do use your cabin, shed, garden room or whatever, the air will be free of mould spores and much fresher and healthier for your precious lungs. Seen in those terms, and provided you site it correctly so it can work properly, this solar air unit is a no-brainer, and a very good investment.

Happy 😊
The panel was easy to install, electrian fitted it and mentioned how easy it was. I’m just glad it didn’t break. Worthwhile buying that’s fore sure. Was fitted in an allotment as there is no electricity other than generators so this should be a game changer.

We have fake dormers so decided to put these there. Looks pretty good. I had to put an inline fan to push the air better into the house since the dormer is 10’ from ceiling in house. 40 degrees outside and it’s 80 coming thru the vent. Hard to say how much it is helping but it has to help.

Not too many dislikes really. Good quality unit, works very well. A good little work horse too. As soon as the daylight starts, that little fan starts turning or working. Then once the sun starts hitting it, it starts production of heat. It’ll get our well insulated chicken coop up to 12 degrees c when it’s -11 outside, more than good enough. Mind you the room in only 105 square feet. If we’re to buy one for the house, I’d go huge with it though, I’d go with the double ducted $900 one or even two of them if affordable. It’d surely supplement our wood usage. What’s not to love, everything it does is totally free to you. The built in solar panel produces all the power the little 12v fan needs. The only downside I guess is the purchase price.
