Don’t Fear the Foam
I’ve been a user of StarSan for more than 2 decades. As good as anything you can easily use at a homebrew scale and much safer than some of the harsher chemicals used in professional craft breweries. I always make sure to keep some diluted StarSan on hand to transfer for CIP processes in my homebrewery as well as spray bottles full of it. I’ve never had concerns about sanitation as long as I’m working with clean equipment (thanks to PBW) and StarSan.
