As described and I could have not done the job without the extensions. I was able to remove (with considerable force) a bearing from a six inch long shaft. I also used this product to install the replacement bearing by reversing the jaws and forcing the same shaft through the new bearing... very pleased. However, the threads on the lead screw are too fine in my opinion and may not last over the long haul. A better design would be robust square cut threads.

Wow...this works! I attempt to remove an old bearing with regular tools from one of the spindles of my Husqvarna mower tractor, but I'm unsuccessful. This Bearing removal set tool makes it so easy that it took just a few seconds, plus it comes with a hard case. I am very happy to purchase this tool, and easy to assemble and disassemble. A perfect tool to have at hand at home. Well built and strong material, no issues at all. It's a keeper!
