pearlstar Large Solar Light Replacement Top for Solar Lantern, Floor Lamp, Diameter 4.65"

So I didn't buy this to replace a light but instead to put a light in another lantern. Several years ago, a friend of my mother gave her a large ceramic (I assume) outdoor lantern. It's cute, but other than being cute on the porch it didn't do much of anything. My mom always said she wanted to get a candle for it or something and it just hasn't happened. So I got the brilliant idea of what if we could get a solar light for it. I saw other solar light replacements here on Amazon and thought it's worth a shot. This light fits perfectly in the top of the lantern and works wonderfully. Even on cloudy days it gets charged enough to shine. It seems extremely well made and like it might last for several seasons, which would be great. I wouldn't say it's a cheap solution but it does give me a happy seeing it illuminated and when I showed my mom pictures of it illuminated she was thrilled. I should preface that we live in Alaska and summer is not really great for outdoor lights here and it's on the front porch so it doesn't really get seen unless you're out at midnight. But when it works it really works . You can see how well it works in the pictures. I took these pictures at midnight the night after the solstice so just after our near 21 hours of daylight so it's a pretty powerful light when fully charged.

Had a hard time finding a replacement that fit inside a 5” flange on a luminaria I bought at an art festival. This was the only one that was larger than 4” and it worked out perfectly. Glad that it has an opening for the battery. Many of the ones I looked at did not.

Arrived on time and just what I needed

Perfectly sized replacement light for my lantern but it only last for an hour or 2. OK for now
