So far so good - IMPORTANT SET UP INFO!
I’m just so happy that I read the review from “Ashley Groom” below. Saved about 4 hours of my life!Do not waste your time trying to connect the camera to your Arlo app via phone with the QR code.. It doesn’t work! (I attempted 5-6 times before logging in to Arlo online, and the QR code connected to the camera first time)Purchased a V for Vodafone sim (£5) in store, and on a £4 per month rolling contract. Can cancel at any time.Set up in less than 45 mins. Firstly set up sim, download Vodafone app, activate and insert in to Arlo Go. Insert Arlo battery, and follow instructions in manual - with exemption of using laptop instead of phone!Once set up on the laptop, download the Arlo app to your phone and all will be connected and ready for use.So far so good, picture quality is great.

Excellent: However...
Ok so here goes, I have been looking for a solution for offgrid security and the Arlo Go ticked all the boxes, however the recent bad reviews made me a bit cautious. But I bit the bullet and bought my first one, which unfortunately didn't work. So I got a replacement. Great Amazon Service . ! SET UP IS A COW ! Just be warned, To cut a long story short (5hrs setting up!) Here's a Tip DONT use the App to set up, Use your Mac / PC web browser, Login to Arlo, Add Device.. Scan QR code on screen and bam camera recognised, Camera synced and all great.. The app wasn't having any of it, Damn thing just wouldn't scan the bar code on my Iphone. Frustrating to say the least and V for vodafone talked me through various walk throughs. I now have live camera security and also motion detection on a completely Off Grid site.. Having used trail cameras for the last two years. This system now working, seems great and I will certainly be buying more Arlo Go's in the future.Picture Quality seems good, Live camera is good, even though slight delay, but you would expect that, battery life is looking good, however I did buy the Solar panel and connect that up as well, So I will update my findings on this later. The only thing that let this product down for me was the set up, Even though it should be very straight forward, For whatever reason the camera didn't like scanning the Barcode from the App screen.

Please don't buy before reading this review.
I have three of these awful cameras. Camera 1 still worked until Spring 2023, when it joined the other two in the junk cupboard. At the price arlo commands, they just aren't worth it. To make matters worse, arlo have just announced a new policy that they will discontinue products after 4 years. That isn't like most companies in which they'll just no longer actively support, but because you need to use their cloud to work this terrible devices they will actively stop you from using them.At £300 per device and only lasting four years, that's just not good enough. Go for Reolink or similar. My one remaining arlo camera (the oldest one) is four years old now, the other two didn't even last 18 months. They're great when they work, but that's not for long. So please, please, please read plenty of reviews before you risk your money and make sure you read their policy of discontinuation on their website.

Initial review of my Arlo g
Just bought purchased 2 piece of brand new of Arlo G; both arrived smoothly as portrayed by Amazon. I intend to use the cameras in Africa; therefore, I decided to test them before flying them out to their field; amazingly, it was easy to set up; I used my o2 pay as go to test the LTE connection and there was no hassle at all as I expected due to some reviews I read. The video quality is great, the clarity of the audio makes it fantastic; I set themUp at home while my house mates dine, was far away from my area to watch the live recording. When audio was tested while standing close to the Arlo go and that triggered a kind of screeching sound; apart from that, it all worked fine. Will be doing another review through while it’s being used in Africa; so watch out for my honest experience of the Arlo g, when I shall be reviewing the battery life and the overall quality of this product.

Good when it works!
The ARLO GO camera is relatively easy to set up although there are a few minor niggles. Main thing is to ensure that you've got a good connection with your mobile SIM. Unfortunately, however, battery life is frankly appalling and in the end I gave up and connected the cameras permanently to the mains which improved the situation. However, the first unit still has a mind of its own and occasionally ceases to function but it now works most of the time and it's great. It gives a pretty good picture providing useful reassurance of the property area that you are surveying. However, the second of my two cameras whilst having the same problems with battery life (requiring permanent connection to the mains) has in fact ceased to function within a couple of weeks of operation. Upon contacting ARLO they confirmed that it was probably a fault with the unit and therefore I await a refund or replacement. One big plus with ARLO is the ability to actually speak to someone in their European call centre and to be able to get through relatively quickly. I think this is a great benefit and really helpful.

Good enough. Not the best / but the vest I’ve used on 4g.
Remote security and monitoring. It is in danger of being stolen... but quite good. Not 100% reliable on motion detection. Doesn’t work thru glass. Resolution not as high as claimed. But good.
