Some Die Young (The Man from Waco)

I really enjoyed these two books. I wish there were more in the series. A giant of a man who wrongly spends 5 years of a 20 year sentence for a first time offense of bank robbery, then freed by a judge whom he saved from being killed while working on a prison gang building a bridge, the judge petitions the governor for his release. He works for the judge for a while but then the judge passes way. So John (the gentle giant) wanders away and becomes the marshal of a small town after changing his name. More excitement follows.

Who says you can't go home after years away? John Bannack tried. He stopped by to see the only family he had, and it wasn't home anymore. Things changed; he changed. Life had taken another turn for a young man who got a raw deal from a vengeful cruel Judge and had tried his best to forgive and move on but the cruelty and unjust kept coming into his life. This is a great storyline; many moving parts in the story; and excellent writing in a book I just couldn't put down. Thanks for a great read!

John moves on searching for a special place that he can settle into. His nemesis continues to search for him now that his pardon has been revoked. John's luck and his good nature keeps him fairly safe while he decides what to do.

I enjoyed The Man from Waco Book 2. Being a 6th generation of Texas, it’s nice to go home now and then.

Waiting for another book in this series.great read,excellent story line and great character development in this series as usual for this author
