Leviton LED Ceiling Lamp Holder with Pull Chain, 10W Bulb and Bulb Guard, 9852-LED, White

My house dates to 1948, and the original porcelain fixtures in my closets have been dying, one by one. I have been replacing them with these units, and they are perfect. The LED bulb should last a long time, it puts out just the right amount of light, and the plastic diffuser softens the bulb output and creates an even output in all directions. Each light is about a 20 minute install, and will mount directly onto the existing junction box. Works fine with older 2 wire systems without a true ground. The pull switch has a nice feel to it and doesn't require a lot of effort.

Easy to install and simple little closet light, I expect not to have to worry about this for years!

I bought 5 of these for my new (old) house featuring un-grounded wiring. All 5 together use less electricity than one incandescent, and they're shielded, too, so can't be broken from impact. The heat sinked and ventilated bulb should result in multi-decade longevity; it is possible I will never have to replace the bulbs. On the down side, these ship with conventional wire nuts, but have stranded feed wires. Stranded wires are difficult to impossible to secure safely with wire nuts. I got a 50 pack of 3-connection Wago 221 lever nuts for my install. They gripped stranded and solid wires firmly!

Good for closets, utility rooms and crawlspaces. The light is nice and bright and warmer for an LED.

These were installed in 4 bedrooms. They did not last. 3/4 chains broke way up high inside the unit. I had to call a electrician now to come up with an alternative.

Great pull string closet light. The string is flimsy so I just bought decorative pull chain separately.

It's 100% as advertised. A basic light; great for a closet. Good for an install without a separate switch. Since it's not a sealed LED, you can replace the bulb. (That's the reason I chose it.) Would totally buy gain.

Awesome job ! A bit overprice ! that's the reason for the 4 star instead of 5. But for a closet the light is very clear and powerfull enough Love it !
