Blue vs Big Red!
This sponge in really soft and was surprised at how long it was which is nice to go over your car panels quickly. It really absorbs the ONR or rinseless solution while you wash your car and it gets rid of the dirt particles when scraping the grit guard I the bucket. I haven't tried the BRSponge but honestly I dont think I need to anymore, this is just as great and half the price, also I have noticed any swirls so I know it works like its supposed to, try it out and you wont be disappointed, thanks

Optimum waffle weave sponge
It’s an amazing product. I do rinseless wash with it. Only four stars due to durability, I notice since first day starting to fall apart. ( little pieces ). Other than that it does the work.

Started Falling Apart After First Car Wash!
EDIT: Amazon quickly refunded this purchase and told me to not bother returning it, as it probably wasn't worth their time, cost, and hassle. I've since used it multiple times and my original opinion on this still stands, this product is JUNK. Literally any wash medium would be better and offer more bang for your buck besides the built-in brush at a coin-op car wash. What you're paying for is the OPT branding and the cost to package and ship this, hence the $6-$10 price range. ONR is an eco-friendly product but it's not environmentally friendly if your sponge constantly has to be replaced because it falls apart so easily.Long ago I used to be an active member of the most popular car detailing forum at the time, Autopia.org. I learned a lot of info from this site and after trying quite a selection of different products, my preferred car washing method was using a particular, cheap Home Depot grout sponge. I had plenty of nice wash mitts, but I liked the fact that the sponge was always ready to be used. I didn't have to gather a bunch of microfiber towels and mitts and remember to wash a load before it's next use. Since then, I haven't kept up with the detailing scene but I've noticed that no one talks about the cheap, lowly HD grout sponge anymore. Now that I live in a cold climate, I picked up a jug of ONR Wash & Wax to do washes in the winter and figured I'd give Optimum's sponge a try, since they're designed to work with one another. I think most people have this misconception (myself included) that the dirt will be lifted away from the paint and the waffle weave pattern will help with this, but in my opinion, the reality is that most people will just be pressing down harder on the sponge to get the proper amount of surface area to clean the surface.I like the size of the sponge and initially the price was OK but after its first use, I noticed that the sponge is already starting to break apart. It wasn't snagging on anything and I wasn't cleaning anything dirty, rough, or with sharp edges, so the only thing I can think of is that it was from me rubbing the waffle weave (wash) side against my grit guard in the bucket.I'm not expecting a sponge to never get gouges or cuts in it, but for something that costs as much as a decent chenille wash mitt from Walmart, it shouldn't be doing that after only one wash. The cheap grout sponge I used never fell apart on me. I only threw it away during a move and it was just not worth the hassle of packing up with my belongings.Just save your money and find another wash medium of your choice. I felt ripped off and this only cost 1/3 the price of their Big Red Sponge, which I could never imagine myself paying $20 for a sponge with slits already in it.

Gimmick
You can buy at Lowes Proline all purpose sponges for $4 for a pack of two. Does the same job, but it doesn't have those gimmicky dimples. Save your money. The Proline are as soft and provide all the suds your can dream of.
