WONDERFUL - Used daily for the last 5 years straight.
I have been using OWYN Chocolate Protein Powder for 5 straight years. It is absolutely phenomenal. I use it once a day, 4 scoops, for 40grams of protein in a smoothie. The pro-biotic is PHENOMENAL. The protein works well for my body. Keeps me lean and fairly cut up all year long. Have it on subscription!I did try the 30g protein powder, but didn't do my body as well, in terms of gut. So, I went back to this style of powder and just do 3, but mainly 4 scoops each day.

Finally!
This is the "owynly" vanilla protein powder I will buy. I have tried soooo many brands and this one actually tastes like vanilla. It is not chalky at all and mixes well whether I am making a fruit smoothie or just adding it with milk or water to a shaker bottle. With the 30g of protein per serving, most days my lunchtime smoothie will satisfy me until dinner. The quality of all of the ingredients makes it well worth the price, especially if you subscribe.

Just ok
Not my favorite protein shake. It is low sugar low carb which is good for me .vanilla flavor isn't great and hard to mix stays clumpy. don't know about the other flavors.

From Best to Worst
I don’t know what’s happened over the last few months, I don’t know if the original owners sold the company. I don’t know if they’re just trying to cut costs, but the formula/recipe has changed drastically. This has been my favorite protein powder for probably a year or so now. I used to exclusively buy the cookies and cream flavor then suddenly it disappeared and you couldn’t get it anymore so I switched to the chocolate. The last container of chocolate that I bought was a very different texture Compared to the product I was used to getting. That was already setting off alarm bells and I started to worry that I was gonna have to go through the process of finding a decent protein powder again. My mom gave me a container of vanilla because she had bought it for my brother trying to help him improve his health and he doesn’t wanna do that lol 🤦🏻♀️ so she gave it to me. The vanilla texture was great just like the chocolate used to be so I was hoping against all hope that it was just a change with the chocolate recipe but then I was disappointed to see with my most recent purchase of vanilla that it too Has become sandy and grainy and it’s impossible to get rid of The clumps And lumps in it. Because I don’t like to drink my meals, I have been consistently making protein pancakes with this protein powder for the entirety of my purchase history with them and it’s always made amazing pancakes and the pancake batter is always super smooth, Now it’s absolutely awful. And it’s not just the batter that’s coming out awful, the end product, my pancakes now are falling apart. The texture is completely un appetizing and It doesn’t matter how much binder (egg, pumpkin purée, etc) you put in there, They are grainy, sandy and Fall apart at the first hint of Maple syrup. you can’t even get a piece up on a fork because it just disintegrates. I can’t imagine trying to drink this as a protein shake because of how awful the texture is. you would think that maybe baking it or cooking with it would reduce the texture problems, but unfortunately, that is not so. At this point, I don’t see that there’s any use for this protein powder… Well, there’s no enjoyable use for it. Very sad to have to start all over finding protein powder that meets my dietary needs and taste needs. They had something so good, now they don’t even have a product worth selling. so if the changes were made in an effort to cut costs, well, now I doubt they’ll have anything to make money off of 👎

Like most plant-based protein blends
Gets the job done in terms of getting the protein in and whatnot. But the taste is what it is and the consistency is on par with most other plant-based protein powders. I tried this because their ready made stuff tastes great but this certainly is not that. Chalky powder that sticks to your blender cup and you gotta smack your tongue a few times to get the taste out of your mouth. I chugged all of mine to get it over with!

Runner - no aches or pains - maybe it works??
Great additive to coffee!Does it curb my appetite? No, but it adds flavor to my coffee and I drink it after a long distance run.My bones don’t ache, no injuries so maybe this product works? The powder probably dissolves better blended. It just sits at the bottom of my coffee cup. I give my cup a little swirl towards the end, and that mixed it well with the liquid!I’ve been using this protein powder since 2016/17 I believe; but I’ve never had an issue with it.

Product vs packaging ratio…
First, I like the overall taste and benefits of this protein powder. The ONLY thing I dislike is the packaging vs product ratio. The container that holds the product is not a good ratio whatsoever of the product inside said container. Unless there is a “Specific” reason I am unaware of, like shelf life, or freshness, this can be a misleading practice, and quite frankly leaves one feeling “duped”I would rather a smaller packaging that has a proper ratio of product, than a huge container with not such a good amount. I compare it to buying a big bag of chips, only to discover it’s mostly air. I will not be purchasing this product again because of this very reason. There are other protein brands I have purchased in the past and most of them have a better ratio comparison so I’m left confused if this is standard practice, or the act of trying to deceive. Even if this is “standard practice” I as a brand would 100% invest in other means of packaging to ensure the consumer didn’t feel deceived, and to stand out from the competition. This is upsetting for me because I really enjoyed this product, but cannot in good conscience support any brand I feel engages in deceptive practices. Again, If my assessment is wrong then I genuinely apologize, but I cannot understand why anyone would package a product that fills on a little bit more than the size of the container…
