Arm won’t tighten..Edit: seller reached out and offered an instant fix, really recommend!

I really liked this boom arm when I first got it. The low-profile design is sleek, and it stays out of the way on my desk. But after a few months of holding my SM7B, I noticed the arm started sagging, even after tightening the hinge. That said, I’ve had this same issue with several other boom arms, so I’m not too disappointed — it seems to be a common problem with heavier mics. For lighter setups, it’s great. For something like the SM7B? Be prepared to adjust it often.

The Boom Arm is very durable and can rotate 360 ​​degrees, which is very flexible and allows the microphone to be placed in a comfortable position.

Short version: bad materials, can't handle heavier microphones, you'd be better off with regular metal boom arms for around 60 AED.I have a R∅DE Podmic and apparently it's too heavy for this arm. The arm kept slowly falling down and there was nothing I could do to fix it. The mechanism is impressively smooth but because you can't adjust the bottom half, it takes up more of your desk than wanted. The cable management is underwhelming, the cable gets easily tugged by the arm, making adjusting the microphone much harder than it should be. The dealbreaker for me though was the lack of proper shock management. Any taps and touches of the arm are audible in the microphone. If you at all want this format, look for alternatives from Elgato or other companies.
