Basic web sling. It will do the job. Good for the money spent.

Similar quality as official U.S. Military. Happy.

Great sling.
Cotton doesn't slip on the shoulder like nylon and some leather.

Snap Buckle/Butt Clip not quite right
The sling overall is acceptable; but not to the specs I anticipated. The canvas sling webbing is looser weave than expected. New; the web weave is as loose as I would anticipate in a 30 year old sling. The biggest issue I found was that the Snap Buckle/Butt Clip is spring steel as it should be; but the end is not "Spring Loaded" against the opposing portion of the steel. Because there is not spring tension; the Sling clip can fall off of the Rifles metal Butt Sling grommet.Bought these to go on the rifles I built for the Grandsons; and they will work, but wish they were correctly constructed as they will be an issue somewhere along the way if the Snap Buckle/Butt Clip clip falls out of the Rifles metal Butt Sling grommet.

Versatile military style sling
The US military used these style of slings to replace the older leather slings that were in used for the World War one era rifles and early world War Two M1 rifles. They are versatile and easier to use then the old style leather slings. While I admit that I still use a leather sling with my M1 for high power rifle matches I used this style for the old M14 rifle. I also use this for the M16 welhen in the service in the 70s. I realize that it is not in use now in the modern era.I also used a sling like this when I was a deputy sheriff. You need to holster your pistol when you handcuff suspects. The same goes for a shotgun or long arm. You can't safely handcuff a suspect if you hands are filled with a shotgun or carbine. The solution is a sling. This style of sling makes a great "long arm" holster.I bought this sling for my pump shotgun. As an old man I no longer have to worry about dealing with criminal suspects. But also as a 67 year old man I would rather have my shotgun or rifles slung when walking through fields, climbing over fences and whatever else to get to the hunting area. This sling is easy to adjust. It can be used as a support for shooting. I doesn't need to be oiled or waxed. It cleans up easily. It attaches to the firearm easily.
