Romeo and Juliet (Cambridge School Shakespeare)

My daughter uses this at school. It has an amazing explanation of each scene. The pages are of amazing quality and its readable. It is easy and soft to write on specially with loads of annotations.

Having used these text books in the past I knew exactly what to expect. Widely used in schools, this book does not disappoint. It provides the original text together with detailed supporting notes, explanations and some lovely photographs from various productions. Ideal for student and teacher. Worth every penny of the good price.

I ordered this text for a student who was really struggling to comprehend the language used in Romeo and Juliet, the helpful translation and context within were of immeasurable help.

I knew it would have notes in it but I cannot understand the writing and I would rather have one I can understand or a clean one so I can write my own notes as I have less than 5 months till my exams. And I have nothing to go off of yet as that one is a mess I will be returning.

Good presentation , good quality

Great background material. Nice presentation. Lots of photos of the play being acted out. Accessible and appealing to younger students (high school age).

Diese aktuelle Fassung ist vollgestopft mit Hintergrundinfos, methodischen Anregungen und reichhaltigen Fotos aus Dutzenden von Inszenierungen. Damit bietet es nicht nur für den Unterrichtenden, sondern auch für die Schüler viele Hilfen und Erleichterungen, in die aus heutiger Sicht sperrige Sprache des Stücks einzudringen und den Inhalt zu genießen. Vielleicht ginge es noch toller, aber ich wüsste nicht, wie. Daumen hoch!

I purchased this to use in the classroom. I love the analysis questions that are alongside the play and how it only gives explanations for specific words and does not give a "real" English version of the play.
