Review: It has been almost exactly twenty years since i was taken to the mall by my grandfather and was told to choose clothes for my new job at a high end hotel. I remember choosing the Perry Ellis brand for my pants. This decision was embedded in my memory, due to the amount of times i remember glancing at the labels as i was ironing them, for the super early five am shift that the job required. This trustworthy brand has carried over into my adult age, and has been there with consistency there whole time. I am now happy to be able to venture into the shorts category of this brand. This pair of tech shorts is just the kind of style i like to wear. It has a slimmer fitting bottom section which forms around the leg in the manner i like. The waist is the right fit for a 32. I say that because often with other brands i never know if i have to order a 34 or a 32. Being that i already know this brands waist measurements and can trust they are accurate, my confidence paid off here with the switch over to the shorts format. The color is just the kind of light summer themed look i was hoping to find. This color mingles well with a hot summer day where there may be the occurrence of water that get sprayed or splashed on me. Thankfully this material is of a fast drying type. The price of this is affordable and makes me want to spread the word by purchasing a friend a pair. To summarize, i am happy with this pair of shorts and definitely recommend them. Review: 3 stars is a good rating for these shorts. I have 3 or 4 in different colors....ONLY due to the inner zipper pocket on the right side. It secures a large phone so it will not slide out or be rubbed by keys or other items that could scratch your precious 17 Pro Max! But the overall quality, in my opinion having typically worn Hagar, PGA, and Wrangler (YES, Wrangler makes decent semi-dressy gilf style shorts) over the past couple of decades, is on the "below average" side. ESPECIALLY at the higher price point these sell for. A home developed in one that I only had for a couple of months and only wore 3-4 times! Nothing poked a hole in it, the stitching just came loose and an approximate 1-2" home was in the bottom corner of the left side pocket. So now, having the security of the inner right side zipp6pocket for my phone, I'll have to be careful what exactly I place in the left pocket; NOTHING SMALL or of much value obviously! Lastly, be prepared for them to definitely be SHORT! I was/am ok with it, as over the decades I've somehow shrunk from 5'9" to barely over 5'7". I'M SERIOUS!! It's been slowly happening every few years; I recall when I was 5'9"; 5'8.5"; 5'8".....you get the point. My vertebrae is simply crunching together and bending or something like that. But I digress. The 8" length is perfect for me standing and walking; sitting is where you need to be prepared to "show off" more if your upper thighs than is typical for recent times. IF you get them at a heavily discounted price, as I did, they are why they are. But worth $35 or above?? NO WAY!!! I hope this has helped.

This review is for the PERRY ELLIS Men's Tech Shorts with Four Pockets (Size - 30, Color - Smoked Pearl). I received a free taxable sample of these shorts to review in my search for a pair of shorts that would be easy to travel with. The shorts weigh 211 grams and measure 16" across at the waist with a length of 17" and an inseam of 8 1/2". The shorts are made out of a 87% nylon and 13% elastane fabric and have a fairly straight cut to a leg opening of 10 1/4" which was well above the knee and midway up the thigh. The shorts are cut a little higher than my usual preference, but the overall look is quite nice and clean. There are two 10" deep front pockets and two 6" deep zippered rear pockets providing convenient storage. The shorts feature a buttoned front, zippered fly, and an additional inside button flap. All three of the zippers are metal YKK moving along nicely durable plastic teeth. I like the smooth feel of this tech fabric and the shorts have been great for traveling. I especially like that the fabric is quite breathable and that the shorts are still reasonably fresh after a few days on the road. The breathable aspect as well as the relatively higher cut of the shorts was nice when traveling to hot and humid areas. Care and maintenance have been quite easy as the shorts can be machine washed and tumbled dry. When traveling and without easy access to laundry machines, the quick drying aspect of these shorts allowed me to hand wash and line dry them in my room. All in all, these are a nice pair of technical shorts made out of good quality and comfortable fabric. I recommend this as a nice all-around shorts option that is especially great as essential clothing when traveling or working in hot and humid environments.

It is true to size. Fit and color are the same as the advertised picture. The shorts are incredibly comfortable thanks to the stretch fabric and regular fit design. The moisture-wicking properties are a game-changer, keeping me dry and comfortable during work out. The four pockets are a great feature, providing ample storage space for my essentials without feeling bulky. The quality of the shorts is excellent, and they hold up well wash after wash.

I shoot a lot of photography, outdoors and end up getting extremely hot unless I wear shorts. When I show up to my appointment, I want to look a little bit more professional instead of wearing gym shorts. These Perry Ellis shorts are exactly that; a bit more formal, but every bit as breathable as fitness wear. The fabric and stitching are excellent quality and the short feel super comfortable on the waistline and skin. They stand up very well to machine washing. A pro tip is to take them out of the dryer the moment they are dry. If you wait too long, they will be slightly wrinkled. These shorts are definitely worth the price.
