Direct replacement for older AMP power steps with the Siemens motor. AMP wants you to spend $100 to convert the old style motors to their new Brose motor. This one is plug and play, performs and looks the same as original, and you don’t have to do any of the rewiring AMP wants you to do.

I have a set amp research steps on a LbZ cc short box and was having issues with only one side working. I bought this motor to address the issues. Turns out it was the driver door window switch not plugged in all the way. The motor works great and seams powerful compared to the other one which was a couple years old. Install was seamless and no issues whatsoever. A winter tip: I pull the fuse for the steps to keep them from overworking in the cold and snowy conditions. That is wha helps them last a long time. Along with covering entire unit with flex seal or rubber bed coating keeps water out which is the biggest killer of these types of motors.

Replaced it and works flawlessly. Have to give credit to ChatGPT for trouble shooting it nailed it and also install. Will order another as backup for future.

After calling amp I realized I definitely had this part number , they also said no complaints reported from Amazon motors purchased, only returns on these are the unfortunate folks that have newer steps on national backorder at times , I found out my older steps had this motor after my local trk outfitter told me no it's not it , due to if you look up new updated steps they come with the motor that's on backorder , so as far as this motor it works flawlessly. So glad cause trk outfitter wants 120 so this was awesome, and by the way amp said they all are made in the same place lol .

Have steps on a 2023 F150, not installed by me but the motor was damaged by the dealer when working on the truck, well the part took 2+ months to come in. I ordered this one (in desperation) and was not a replacement for 80-04868-90. When speaking with Amp Research, they have the worst customer support ever, might as well talk to a robot. Their response is short, they said there was "no alternative replacement" for 80-04868-90 and it was on a nationwide backorder. What I mentioned in quotes was their update, there was no Hello, no signature and no apology...Very frustrating experience but AMP Research also had no issue selling brand new steps with the motors...for +$2000. Maybe buy a 2 motor step and hope both motor never die.

Perfect replacement. My nerf bars work as they are suppose to again.
