I bought these raspberries to use as a treat for my companion bird (Lesser-suphur crested Cockatoo). She enjoys these freeze-dried fruits a great deal. As I'm assembling her food tray early in the morning I offer her a piece of freeze-dried raspberry which she gently picks up from my hand and eagerly eats.The raspberries come in a clear plastic container with a screw-on metal lid. This protects the fruits from falls, spills and plunder (when Charly manages to grab the food container). The advertised 2 year shelf-life is a nice feature, although one can lasts about 3-5 months.I have to restrain myself from eating even one piece of the fruit - I can't stop at just one and can easily consume half the container once I get started on them.

Horrid taste and expensive

Being freeze dried makes them more porous, so beverages can really soak in and extract more flavor. The raspberries were tasty in vodka, whiskey, and some cocktails. Much easier to travel with than fresh raspberries and the flavors actually come out of the fruit better
