Immediate changes
After using for a week, I noticed (overtime and from day 1) it's easier to speed up from zero. Can see improvement in the mpg and can tell that your truck is always using the full engine. My engine usually studders when I'm either speeding up or constantly going 80 mph, but since I plugged this in, it's gone down a lot and would consider this a good investment. It was also easy to install, just plug it in the obd port and it doesn't stick out. Just unplug if you're not going to drive for a few days so it doesn't drain the battery.

Just what you need to disable afm on a GM
Just what was needed to disable the afm in my 2013 Yukon. Now it's stays in its intended V8 mode at all times. I drive 100 miles a day on the highway doing 70mph. to get to and from work. There was practically no difference in gas mileage change after using this and now I have way more pickup and the transmission is no longer hunting around for gears and feeling lazy.

2021 Sierra x31 6.2
I have a 2021 GMC Sierra X31 6.2L 4x4 and it Really woke my truck up! Instantly after connecting it and after a drive I felt the V8 Power. Only had it on 2 days so haven’t had the chance to see and mpg difference. If you have a V8 and want to feel V8 power purchase this item well worth the money.

Effortless Power Boost—No Tools, Just Plug and Drive
The media could not be loaded. Before this little plug-in, my ’15 Silverado felt like it had a split personality. One minute it’s a V8, next minute it’s sipping fuel like a Prius, and all the while the transitions were jerky enough to make you notice. I didn’t even realize how much that AFM/DFM system was affecting the ride until I disabled it.This AFM disabler took all of 30 seconds to install—literally just plug it into the OBD-II port. No tools, no tech skills, no hunting through menus or risking a voided warranty. The best part? My truck stays in V8 mode now. It actually drives like a truck again—no weird lag, no hesitation when accelerating, no more feeling like it’s “thinking” too hard before giving me power. It’s been weeks and the difference in performance is still night and day. I haven’t noticed any negative impact on fuel economy either, which was my only real hesitation. Plus, if I ever need to go back to stock, I just unplug it. That’s it.It’s rare when a product is this simple, this affordable, and actually works exactly as promised. If you drive a GM with AFM or DFM and you’re tired of your engine playing Jekyll and Hyde, this thing is worth every penny.

Keeps it at V8.
It does what it is suppose to do. It leaves your truck at V8. Be careful because it will drain your battery if left on for a couple of days. Also, expect for your gas consumption to go up.

This Disabler Works!
This disabler works folks!!!! I have been using for a good week now, my 5.3 is purring away at 550 RPM. Shame on you GM, you have a great engine, but added that junk, engine destroying DFM crap! I have a 2021 Sierra and have had a bunch of needless anxiety about the DFM destroying my engine and electrical system. The 2021 and 2014 5.3 years, I understand are the worse off. No more rattling lifters and all the crud affecting my charging system; when I would forget to use the dash DFM disabling switch!!! These engines are designed to idle, that ever so needed oil lubrication and continuing charging voltage is CRITICAL. Almost makes me what to go to Ram or Ford.

worth it
Waiting to see if it works & saves gas… helps shifting & acceleration.

2011 Silverado
Has worked perfectly since I plugged it in. Truck use to have vibration when switching back between 4 cylinders and 8 cylinders. So much easier to use this small piece and override that without having to actually re-program the truck
