Quick tool to setup/formatt drives
While I haven't needed to clone drives yet, I found having a quick connection to HDD's invaluable to check old drives. It will show each one as separate drive on your PC. For the price, its definitely worth it to expand store. The all silver base looks nice and feels solid holding HDD's.

Another great dock. Just a lil slow for me.
Love their products, this is great just slow USB 2.0 speeds.

poor quality power button
This enclosure would get 5 stars from me if it weren't for the so easily damaged power button. I have had to order 4 of these to get 2 working ones. The other 2 had damaged power buttons right in the box. Even before removing the plastic bag around it, you could see the button was missing. It's too bad because the other working ones are compact and allow for fast file writes and reads. I love that the cable is usb-c unlike my older 4 bay usb-a unit. If they were to put a more durable power button on these, they would be perfect.

Stable, but disappointedly only recognized as ATA300
Product came on time and packaged well.I have many USB hard drive enclosures from Orico, all of which work very well. This is the first time I've bought a dock from them. This 4-bay dock is well made, looks good, does not randomly disconnect like other less expensive devices do, and allows for good airflow between drives if you use a low speed 120mm x 120mm USB fan oriented to blow air between the drives to help move heat away quicker. The only issue I have with this dock is that according to Crystal Disk Info, it is only detected at ATA300 (SATA 2) when it should be capable of ATA600 (SATA 3). I tried the same drives in a different dock using the same connection chain and the drives are detected correctly at ATA600, so I know it's not an issue on my end.I'm still debating whether or not to keep this dock. Given the price, I'd expect it to work at the advertised speed (5Gbps). But, the fact that it offers a stable connection without constantly disconnecting is a compelling reason to keep it, especially since I'm using it for regular spinning disks (for now) which won't ever see that speed, anyway. It'll become more of an issue if/when I need to dock an SSD, though.

So far so good, solid quality, drives make a nice positive interface
Needed this to shuck some external USB drives and get them out of their black box prisons of heat. I am not a real fan of the enclosure (FULL NAS) setup, I just like to have big drives and sync my data. I like the flexibility of these dock's. Plus this reduced power, and USB cables. I have had a couple of these over the years and was looking at a competitors. This one had Zero reviews but was on sale and I am familiar with the manufacturer, and I liked the look of it. All I can say is it works right out of the box, drives spin up as expected, and run 10 degrees cooler just from not being enclosed in a plastic prison, and if I am really hammering the drives I just send a room fan air at the drives, regardless they run 8-10 degrees cooler in any situation.I only wish it was a 5 bay, but at the price point with the coupon, as long as it lasts I am a fan of it so far.

Does not come back on after a power outage.
Can't use this in any situation where reliable access is necessary.
