We had a mold problem and it required multiple test points and several test occasions throughout the course of the renovation. I initially had an "expert" service come out and do it for $500, quickly realized this is going to add up, and found this product instead. It's so much more convenient- instead of scheduling, arranging, and waiting for yet another contractor to arrive, I can get it done super quick myself. The test results also came back w/ much more detail than what I got from the professional, which had been just an "all clear." This one has details of how much of many different mold varieties was tested. I felt more confident that the results were real. Would 100% recommend!

I spend a ton on Amazon but generally don't write reviews! That said, I've tried several competing air sampling kits and methods and GOT MOLD is absolutely the BEST!!! The kit was very EASY to use. The kit INCLUDED pre-paid shipping and a self-seal box. I registered the kit using my phone so the company kept me informed every step along the way. When they received the kit I got a message. When my results were ready they emailed and messaged me. The report was SUPER DETAILED. Other companies often group all types of mold together or test for a limited number of species. Got Mold's report was super detailed and listed what seemed like a hundred different types of mold and what you need to know about them. The report even included some basic recommendations and I feel comfortable that I THE KIT HELPED ME GET TO THE ROOT CAUSE OF MY MOLD PROBLEM. After I make some changes I do plan to retest the same areas.

This kit was awesome and so easy to use! I was concerned about the possibility of mold in our home after finding a leak but I got the results really quickly, which put my mind at ease. Well designed and user friendly device and kit!

These tests are very inaccurate and I do not recommend them! We purchased them after noticing water damage in our house. A housing consultant recommended them to us as a stop gap until we could get more thorough professional testing done. On the plus side, the instructions were easy to follow, the tests were easy to perform, and we got the results very quickly. On the con side, the tests were not accurate and were very expensive. We performed the tests in three different areas in our house, and we followed the instructions exactly. In all three areas, the results said that overall mold detection was “not evident,” meaning the overall spore counts were very low and considered to be safe (please see the first two photos). In one area, they detected very low levels of two pathogenic mold species, but they were not high enough to be considered abnormal (second photo). However, subsequent professional testing (third photo) revealed high levels of multiple pathogenic mold species in two of the same areas that we did the Got Mold testing. The professional mold testers said the mold levels were so high that they recommended immediate relocation until the mold has been contained and eradicated, Thank goodness we did not forego the professional mold testing after receiving false reassurance from the inaccurate Got Mold tests! I’m very upset that I wasted money on these tests. I hope I can prevent other people from making the same mistake I did.

Would have rated 5 but for the registration issue. Had to call OEM to register. They do work well and results are e-mailed promptly. Also have alot of detail. This is the same product that most companies in my area use. Easy DIY project at huge savings!!

Very easy to register and set up. Pump even times itself out. Results took a few days to show up, as promised. Can't verify those results of course, but it seems to be a nice quick and dirty test.

Very easy to use. They include a labeled box for mailing air samples to their lab. Good product as long as you understand the limitations of air testing vs other methods. Air testing can produce false negatives so it's important to have an understanding of each type of testing's strengths and limitations.
