I’ve always loved dermaplaning because it makes my skin so smooth, helps my skin absorb my skincare products better, and makes my makeup look airbrushed on. This Michael Todd Sonicsmooth beauty tool takes all of that to the next level! It’s super easy to use at home, gentle yet effective on your skin - it removed a ton of dead skin and peach fuzz in one session, and left my skin immediately brighter and smoother with no accidental nicks. I also love that it comes with 8 replacement blades—great value! If I had to change one thing, I wish the on/off switch was separate from the speed control, since I only use the first speed and have to cycle through to turn it off—but that’s just me nitpicking. Overall, highly recommend!

I think it looks so beautiful and it matches my other Michael Todd products I already own. If pink isn’t your thing, it’s also available in a few other colors. I would describe my skin as “combination” skin that tends to lean more dry. So even though I can be oily (varies a bit by the season or weather) I do get a large buildup of dry flaky skin over time when left untreated. This device came with instructions on how to charge. I’m glad it specifically mentions 12 hours for the initial charge before using or otherwise I probably would have only thought to charge it for a couple hours. The charging holder is nice so I don’t accidentally knock it off my bathroom counter (I have small counters) and into the sink. After using this device I can say it really does a great job at not only removing facial hair from my cheeks and finer peach fuzz from my lips line but removes stubborn dry old skin buildup in the process. What seems to work best for my face is a simple gentle skincare routine prior to using. Essentially you don’t want to risk accidentally irritating your skin barrier prior to using the sonicsmooth! Do NOT do any harsh chemical peels or treatments that could cause burning right before using this. I went with a gentle face wash and then a facial oil. That’s it. Waited a few minutes after using to make sure my face was freshly moisturized but not still noticeably wet or greasy feeling. A hydrating face oil or moisturizer is very important. This helps the blade glide without potentially snagging. In the beginning I mentioned that my dry skin can get extra flaky or textured. What we’re ensuring is that our dry skin is primed enough to avoid risking any cuts, snags, bleeding from the blade. While the safety tips are sharp… at the end of the day it’s still a razor blade that *could* cut you if you’re not careful. If you have more oily skin type you may be able to skip the moisturizer step and just use a face wash before hand. You know your skin best. This device has three settings going from low to medium to high. Honestly the biggest learning curve for me with using this device was snapping to safely blade into the sonic smooth. It’s not difficult to do. Just slide the device tip into the safety tip case over a new blade. But it’s hard to break old habits and my nature is still to try and grab the tip out myself. For anyone who doesn’t have this device in their hand right now to see what I’m talking about, I just want to double caution not to do that, it would hurt. The blades are pretty much on their own and not really attached to plastic or anything until you transfer it to the sonicsmooth, using the device tip to pick up, or back off again. This set I got came with 8 safety tips so even if I use this every week it would still last me 2 months. Once you have the device you can purchase more safety tips by themselves as a set and it gets to be a lot cheaper, maybe $2 per time. So haha if you’re like me and curious about the long term use cost breakdown it’s not really bad at all. Definitely worth the investment to get my skin looking and feeling better.

I really loved this beauty tool! I’ve been looking for something to get rid of the peach fuzz on my face and I’m so happy that I was able to try this. The quality is like luxury skincare tool! The blades are sharp and there was no skin irritation. It’s so easy and convenient. I also love that it can easily go in my bags for travel too! It’s made up of a super functional and modern design and love the single use blade cartridge packs!

I recently have been using this Michael Todd sonicsmooth and I must say it is the best thing ever. First of all, I love how easy it is to use, fast charging, and very small device. This kit comes with the charger, stand, tool, and extras blades. After my first use, I noticed my skin was way more glowier than usual and my makeup application went on way smoother than before. Overall, this has to be one of my favorite tools ever because it gets rid of all the stubborn unnecessary facial hair, leaving your skin smooth and glowy!

The media could not be loaded. It was super easy to use thanks to the straightforward directions! My face is super smooth & it didn’t take long at all. The only thing I would recommend is that you use an oil or something with this. Using it dry definitely irritated my skin & has caused some bumps. I’m sure they will got away soon but the quality of the Sonicsmooth is amazing and the hair was practically melting off after I got the hang of it. I had a little bit of a problem cutting myself once or twice because of the dry shave so that will not happen again. Other than that, I love this!

I can say, my skin routine and makeup routine just got so much better!! Peach fuzz and dead skin all gone!!
