Held up great
This was SO perfect for a 10 day trip in the Colorado Mountains. Everything I needed to cook with, fit right in this pot. Saved me from having to look for loose things and saved space. So happy with this and will definitely come with me again on next years trip.

Product Size
This product diameter is about the same size as a 8oz bottle of fuel. The product is not very tall but on the plus side the product will not take up very much room in your pack and is lightweight. Need pictures showing depth of product.

Replacement 28oz plastic bowl?
Hi there! The cook set is great but I damaged it! I was borrowing my dad's MSR cook set. As you know, the steel pot sits inside the 28oz plastic bowl for packing. I didnt see the plastic bowl and so I put the pot AND the bowl on top of the cook stove and melted the plastic bowl. Such a silly mistake! Anyway, I am wondering if I am able to buy a replacement 28oz plastic bowl that comes with the Trail Mini™ Duo Cook Set?? Thank you for your help! -Mike

Missing pot holder
Bought then returned this twice because the pot holder was missing each time. I have the 1l pot and it's great, but the Duo cook set isn't up to MSR standards

Safety Hazard
I bought 2 of these for my twin boys to use on a 75 mile backpacking trip. On a training hike while boiling some water the silicone ring got loose and slid down around the stove. It then caught on fire!! My son tried to turn off the stove to prevent further incident and was burned by the flame from the silicone as a result. Bottom line, I would not recommend this product to anyone and in fact returned it right away.

Works OK, not as described in photos.
This cook set works reasonably well and is lightweight, and is big enough to make some extra hot water for various uses. However, there are two problems. First, the item is NOT as described here-the strainer lid for the pot does not fit tightly and snap over the top as depicted in the product photo-it just rests loosely on top of the pot. And the pot grips are NOT coated in red as in the photo-they are plain bare aluminum. This is surprising since this item is new for 2018, it's not like there are previous years' versions of it out there. Most disturbing is that right out of the box, there are two deep scratches around the rim of the pot, right down to the bare aluminum. They are almost 180 degrees apart and fairly deep, and since the product boxes are in perfect shape, this likely happened at the factory. I don't know how this will affect the lifespan of the set, but pas experience has shown me that once a pot's coating is scratched or otherwise compromised it gets worse over time. Even worse is the replacement pot Amazon sent me has identical deep scratches, so this is a manufacturing issue.UPDATE: So I emailed MSR about the scratches, and apparently they are normal and part of the production method, and will not affect usability or durability. Apparently the pots are clamped and dipped into the anodizing bath, and the scratches are where the clamps gripped the pots. Fair enough, but why is this the only product with this production issue? Even the cheapest anodized pots at your favorite discount store don't have this issue. Even if it's just cosmetic, it's sloppy.

More is not always better
I love this pot, lid and mini handle. The plastic bowl and grip on the to pot are not well thoughted out, and probably not real world tested. The little grippy sleeve at the top of the pot, slides down when you heat the pot, and if you are not carefully, it will melt and clog all the little holes in your stove...or your buddies stove. This did not happen to me, just because I had a similar experience and anticipated the outcome. I tossed the sleeve after a few days of bike touring and camping... the bowl went before that, but it did not end as well with the bowl. The bowl that nest on the pot is a great idea, but it is translucent, if you get up in the morning and just want that first cup of camp coffee, be sure to remove the bowl from the pot, if it were green, pink or any other color, it may not be an issue, YOU COULD SEE IT. Especially it you fill the pot with water and your buddy volunteers to boil your water...its a good idea to remove the bowl, or you could melt the bowl, clog every jet on your buddy's stove, and spend an hour and a can of gas cleaning it up. Ditch the bowl and the sleeve, still a good product and a good value. I fit my handle and stove in the pot, nested well, and the gradations are valuable for freeze dried meals. I do recommend the product, well three of the five items offered here.
