Review: The best motivational and practical book on goal setting and goal achieving - Brian Tracy is a legend in the personal success, business development and motivational speaking industries. He is also one of the last living GOATS in the field and one of the most prolific people in the success and motivation industry of all time. His book, GOALS is one of his best and most popular titles out of the 70+ books he has written. Maybe his only best seller that’s more popular is Eat That Frog, a fantastic short book about prioritization, productivity and time management. I chose to review and recommend GOALS because I believe that something Brian said is true: “Success is goals, and all else is commentary.” He added: “After giving countless talks on various themes, if I was given only five minutes to speak to you and I could convey only one thought that would help you to be more successful, I would tell you, ‘Write down your goals, make plans to achieve them, and work on your plans every single day.’” Goals are that important. There is no achievement without goals. The book teaches 21 principles, with a chapter devoted to each one. They include topics such as values clarification, the importance of belief, the power of purpose, the magic of visualization, associating with the right people, strategic planning, taking action, being flexible, overcoming obstacles, tapping into your subconscious mind, persisting until you succeed, and much more. Brian’s tone is conversational and easy to read. His writing is energizing and inspirational. While he occasional quotes studies, his book does not read like a PhD psychologist’s book. It is not academic or theoretical. It is motivational and practical. The only thing that really matters, says Brian, is whether an idea or strategy works in the real world. Having shared his ideas with over 1000 corporations and millions of people over forty years, there’s no doubt that the ideas he teaches work. They did for me. I started following Brian in the early 1990s and his teachings have changed my personal and business life. When I became an entrepreneur, I learned how from Brian. When I got into sales (health club memberships), I learned how to do it from Brian. When I got into health club management, I learned how to do it from Brian. When I wanted to write my first book, I learned how to do it from Brian. When I wanted to become financially independent, I learned how to do it from Brian. When I wanted to learn the mental side of peak fitness I learned a lot of it from Brian. When I wanted to be successful in every area of my life, I learned how to do it from Brian, along with a few of his contemporaries like Earl Nightingale and Jim Rohn. I've read about two dozen of Brian’s books and I’m certain I’ve listened to over 1000 hours of his material. (I used to commute 30 min each way to work for years and listened to him on cassette tape and then later CDs in my car). Success in any area of life takes hard work and time. Brian says you won’t hear the word “easy” when you read his stuff. However, he does teach you how to avoid common pitfalls and mistakes so you can achieve your goals in the shortest time possible. In that sense, reading Brian Tracy’s material is like taking a legitimate shortcut. As he says in the opening pages of GOALS, “Your time and your life are precious. The biggest waste of time and life is for you to spend years accomplishing something that you could have achieved in only a few months.” If you want to get on the fast track to achieving your goals, then I highly recommended you read this book. Review: Get this book today! - How can I begin to review a book that is so completely life changing? It has shown me that with the right tools and a willingness to move forward in life I can achieve the things I want and desire. This book is the road map to help me get there. I will caution you though. You will need to dig deep and be brutally honest with yourself. And if you can't you may have to ask those who know you best to be brutally honest with you. But it is all so you can assess where you are today and set goals that will move you forward tomorrow. This book has proven to be so much more than a simple goal setting book. Awesome!! Goal setting was never easy for me. I am anxious to be a more productive person and business owner. Thanks Brian. Best book on goals! I love all Brian Tracy books.
I liked how Brian used positive efforts to reach goals. I enjoyed his training. I am a firm believer in setting goals. Daily, weekly, monthly and annually. Anyone looking for a more effective and productive solution to setting goals. I have read bits and pieces of these theories in other books but Brian had compiled all those theories and teaches them to thousands. I thoroughly enjoy his books, audiobooks and seminars. Definitely a MUST READ for those who want to accomplish productive lives for ourself, our families and our communities!!!

Advice you can use right away
There are a lot of great ideas that you can implement straight away. From Zero-based thinking when setting your goals to creative visualisation as an essential element in calling them in. Brian Tracy has it all. It is down-to-earth, readable and usable. I have a suite of books from Brian Tracy. This one is foundational. This book, like Brian Tracy's Maximum Achievement, is worth going over again, and again. Especially, have it handy when you are actually writing you goals and refer to it again as you implement them. As Brian indicates, the goal setting process is not a one off. You will have cause to revisit and re-write your goals over, and over again.

Comprehensive goal setting and achieving method
Revelation on goal setting and the subconscious mind. Biggest insight on goal setting: the 3-p formula. Positive, personal, present-tense (and add a deadline/time-element). Instead of "I want to make $50,000 a year" it would be said as a goal "I make $50,000 a year." It was big on programming the subconscious mind. 2nd biggest insight is: re-write your major/most important goals each morning and each evening. It's said that humans are a teleological organism, that we are a goal-seeking and achieving organism. What we think about most, we become or achieve, so keeping your major life goals in front of you by writing and rewriting them each morning and each evening is practical. Would recommend to anyone. They should teach this in schools.

Helped me to tap into a higher frequency
This book has helped me to tap into a higher frequency. I say this because I would have a tunnel vision when it came to my goals and aspirations but this book has helped me to see outside of the tunnel vision. Very good read and I feel that what I learned from this book will stay with me for a lifetime.
