Encore Wood Deck Coating

This was my second experience with an Encore product having resurfaced my pool deck with their Cool! product last year. Given the way that has looked and held up for over a year, I ordered Encore's decking kit for the concrete floor of my screened in porch. I was able to resurface it over the course of 2 days following their instructions. The end product looked great and it has held up well to moving furniture back in.

Waiting to see how thie product performs after the winter. We put it on as the Fall was rapidly cooling, and it cracked and leaked. They sent us more, and told us we should use seam tape, which we did, but it was already too cold out, and it never really dried. Will try again in the Spring when it gets warmer...

Last year I bought the Encore Deck Coating system. It was approx. 5 times the cost of paint but I met with the rep. and he told me it would last 10 years. My husband is a contractor. It was a brand new deck. We allowed it to "cure" for 60 days and then applied this product EXACTLY as stated in the directions. Within 9 months it was chipping and peeling. When I contacted the manufacturer, he told me to send a sample to him which I did. He told me that whatever we applied the product onto was the problem. I told him it was brand new pressure treated wood. He then said it was because we didn't wait for the wood to dry. I told him we did wait 60 days. He still insisted it was our fault but that he would give us new product at a discount. I countered with a settlement offer that he would supply the product and my husband would again have to apply it and we would have to again buy paint to mix into it. He agreed. After approx. 2 weeks, I contacted him again and he said he would only give us 50% off. This product is a sham. It doesn't even last as long as stain or paint and is approx. 5 times the cost. DO NOT BUY IT!!!!!

I recently used Encore Deck Coating on my deck at home. The instructions were easy to follow and my deck looks great. I have used this product in the past on a rental property that I own. It's been a couple of years ago and that deck still looks great too. That's why I decided to use it again on my own home. Love this product! I highly recommend!

I purchased this coating for my deck a few months ago. The coating was easy to apply and man did it make a huge difference. The finish looked like it was done by a pro when really it was just me. I followed the instructions and the whole process was very easy. My deck looks like new and I am happy to have a protected and brand new looking deck again. Thanks Encore!
