Great for making warm knitted hats and scarves
I have several Sentro circular knitting machines, different sizes. I love them. I make hats for cancer patients getting chemo, and hats for kids, premature babies, scarves and other things too. I crochet and knit by hand and the Sentro is just a quicker way to knit a tube and make a hat. Tons of youtube.com videos are available and show the multitude of items people can make using this machine, and video tutorials for beginnes just learning. It doesn't take long to learn to use it, even my great grandson could do it once I got it started. They are pretty well made and durable, especially if taken care of. One thing that may not be obvious is that not all yarns work well in the machines. There's small balls of yarn that comes with it to learn and practice with. I used that for a reference to buy yarn for a project. Yarn weights #3 and #4 (double knit yarns) do best, #5 is too chunky and thick. Some textured yarns or really fuzzy ones will work, but you need to go slow and watch that the pins catch the yarn well. FYI - The 48 pin machine makes adult sized hats, use smaller machines for toddler or infants hats. I have been very well pleased with my Sentro machines. Have FUN, be creative!

This was a waste of time, money and effort.
This product seemed as if it would be successful. However it would never do more than 20 rows. Then it would pop right off. We tried buying a better quality of yarn and it made no difference. The rows would also have holes where the yarn would slip off the needles while using the machine. It's a good idea but maybe this knitting machine is just not a good of quality as a more expensive one may be. I recommend that you spend more and don't waste your time and effort on this one. I'm returning this.

Fun and Easy to Use, Perfect for Beginners, But Has Some Limitations
I purchased the SENTRO 48-Needle Knitting Machine for my daughter, as a beginner interested in quick and simple DIY projects like hats and scarves. Overall, we had a lot of fun and she is really happy with the results, but there are some things to consider before purchasing. Pros: Easy Setup: The machine was straightforward to assemble, and the instructions were clear enough for someone with no prior knitting experience. Beginner-Friendly: She was able to make a basic hat within an hour! The crank mechanism is smooth, and the tension adjustment helps get consistent stitches. She made 5 hats over the weekend while we were snowed in. Cons: Material Limitations: While the machine is compatible with most yarns, it struggles with thicker or textured yarns, often causing jams or dropped stitches. For best results, stick with lightweight yarn. Durability: The plastic build feels a bit flimsy, especially the crank handle. I’d recommend being gentle to avoid breaking any parts. Overall Verdict: This is a fantastic tool for anyone starting out with knitting or wanting to create quick, handmade items. While it has some limitations in terms of materials and build quality, it’s a fun, budget-friendly alternative to traditional hand knitting. If you’re patient with the learning process and stick to the recommended yarn types, you’ll get great results. Would I recommend it? Absolutely—for beginners or hobbyists looking for a fun way to make simple projects. Just don’t expect it to handle heavy-duty or professional-level knitting."

Instructions lacking.
Had to utube 2 times to figure out how it works. It works great after knowing how to use it

Need 3 hands to use.
It's ok, except it's difficult to make it steady to use. It will also drop stitches quite easily. So the user needs to keep a close eye on that.

This is the coolest thing!!
I have always wanted to learn to knit after learning to crochet. Tried it.... UGG! But this...as they say, and I hate the phrase....is a GAME CHANGER, LOL! You can whip out a beanie - once you get into the swing of casting on and off - in an hour; pompom and all. Watch YouTube videos for quick instruction and tips, and many more ideas other than beanies. Hope to make a throw blanket next!

Would not recommend
It consistently drops stitches. It is very loud and the handle does not turn easily. It makes a clicking noise that sounds like it’s breaking. I would give zero stars. Was definitely a waste of money.

Everything I made was very loose. Must be doing something wrong.
